Adoption request

Hi there Slimhandy, thanks for your adoption request. I would be more than happy to adopt you, though there are a few things you will need to know before hand. Firstly, adoption isn't a quick process and can take a few months; I will do my utmost to help you learn and get to know how things work, but I will expect commitment on your part. Secondly, you will be the first person I have formally adopted, so I will make no claims to be perfect - if that is a problem, then let me know. I will always answer any questions you have, either personally or pointing you towards the right people/place, as soon as I can. I'll follow how you're getting on and, when we both feel that you're ready, you will graduate from the programme. Is that all ok? If you're happy with that, let me know, and I'll take you on.

I would also like to invite you to the Wikipedia Teahouse, where I am a host. It is a friendly place for new users to introduce themselves, meet other editors and ask any questions they have. The Teahouse should give extra help and support, on top of our adoption.
