File mover

(add requestview requests)

I submitted for file mover last month and wasn't ready. However, I now feel that I am. I've submitted several successful file moves on both here and Commons. I've also lowered the size of my non-free uploads, which was one of the reasons I did not obtain the file mover right last time. This right would make renaming files easier and help with converting non-transparent images to transparent images. Zach Vega (talk) 02:31, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) You last request was at the 21th March. You have made since then impressive 66 edits in the file namespace, but analyzing them, I recognized that you do indeed start tagging images for {{non-free reduced}} and uploading smaller scaled images, but I only found these [1][2] 2 images which were a) requested to get renamed and b) were renamed (here at enwp). "I've submitted several successful file moves." - were are the several requests? mabdul 11:24, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I would like the ability to create a uniformity of file names on the articles concerning the different logos and various images concerning the files of the Amazing Race and Cartoon Network and others. Also, I have experience as admin on another wiki.User 50 16:45, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) You have 10 edits in the file namespace. WP:NOTNOW. ~ ⇒TomTomN00 @ 16:50, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
@ Tomtomn00, I can see your wanting to get involved with the WP:PERM process but, "NOTNOW" ? isn't that to be determined by an Admin ? I say this because to the Newbie your comment looks like the "Official decision" has been made". Mlpearc (powwow) 17:01, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with Mlpearc. Besides, WP:NOTNOW links to an essay that discusses nothing but RFA; linking to it here is not really helpful. Pol430 talk to me 18:14, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

(Non-administrator comment) Despite the discussion above, you have uploaded 6 files and edited no other file. Since February you didn't edit in the file namespace and moreover uploaded this and this file a much too big version of a logo which violates our WP:NFC policy. Can you explain why you need that user right? mabdul 11:47, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I upload images here on a pretty regular basis and could make good use of this right. I have one of my files that I'd like to move, and since I plan on uploading more images I'd like to be able to move these and others when/if needed. I have this right on commons and am familiar with policy. INeverCry 21:14, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
{{not done}} A lot of those images have also been deleted as violating the NFC policy. Reaper Eternal (talk) 16:20, 13 April 2012 (UTC) For some reason, the upload log was showing the several deleted images you uploaded in December 2011 as your last uploads, so I declined your request. Now, however, the log seems to be working properly, showing that you have uploaded a great many images since then, so your request is now  Done. I've never seen that bug before.... Reaper Eternal (talk) 18:56, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That's just not true. INeverCry 17:29, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for taking care of this so quickly. INeverCry 20:00, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
A lot of files on the Wikipedia have pretty strange names, often the original file name like "sc1722d" or something similar. Obviously we need more file movers. After editing Wikipedia for so long and with a fair quality, I believe I can be mighty useful here. Aditya(talkcontribs) 06:30, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
