Capacity

69,901 (seating and standing) but 79.451 during the world cup????????????????????? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.22.123.112 (talk) 13:11, 13 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If 180 consecutive games were sold out, how is that breaking the 1,000,000 spectator mark? the capacity of the stadium is more than 5,500!.

Fröttmaning is just a district in Munich. It has no article and probably never will. (Poulsen, Don't create it just to make a point.) So, I will delete it once again. Kingjeff 14:47, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I like it, but what do conservationists make of it? Did they cause a fuss over unnecessary electricity consumption? --202.47.51.70 00:37, 1 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know who got the facts, but when I was at the stadium tour in Munich (I speak German), They said that it cost them about $50 to light up the stadium for one hour, which is substantially less than a 4-person family uses in one year.

I am from Germany and a fan of Bayern Munich and I wouldn't say the Allianz Arena is commonly called "Schlauchboot". I even had to think if I've ever heard that, I think few articles named it like that when it was newly built, but nowadays everybody I know (in Baden-Württemberg) would call it Allianz Arena.

I live in the Munich area and have never heard of the Allianz Arena being referred to as the "Schlauchboot"/inflatable boat. Although one has to admit it somewhat resembles an inflatable boat, this is not a very commonly used "nick name". It should be removed (or at least moved to a less prominent position within the article). --tvk 10:20, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I also live in Munich. I don't recall the nickname "Schlauchboot" being used by any local press article after the opening of the stadium. --Heikoh 18:24, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"recentley people have not come to allianz arena because of reported urine on the seats" Ehh?... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.55.90.110 (talk) 17:07, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Both clubs had previously played their home games at the Munich Olympic Stadium; FC Bayern München since 1972 and TSV 1860 München since the 1990s.

Is this somewhat misleading? Didn't 1860 play at Grünwalder Strasse until 1995? --Heikoh 18:16, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know, 1860 played some matches with a lot of fans in the Olympic Stadium from 1990 (Derby vs. FC Bayern...). But from 1995 all games took part in the Oly.

I never heard the Allianz Arena called "Wolfenstadion" !??! Where from do you have this information?

Allianz 2006

During the World Cup, the Allianz letters were moved on top of a munich art museum, does anyone have any pics or sites about this, i saw this there and i think it needs to be noted

uefa star rating

does the stadium have a uefa star-rating? i think it satisfies the criteria for 5-star?--Numberwang 16:02, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stadiums are only given their UEFA star rating when they bid to host a UEFA Cup/Champions League or Super Cup final. Has the Allianz Arena bid for one of these events?Tancred 18:34, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

perhaps CL final 2011 --129.217.129.133 21:27, 31 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Should the lego version be mentioned? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.161.36.45 (talk) 17:13, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

By now, it will be the host stadium for the CL final in 2012. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.36.214.138 (talk) 22:20, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
