Koto Okubo ; (born December 24, 1897) is an Japanese Supercentenarian, who at the age of 114 years is the oldest woman living in Japan and the fourth oldest person alive in the world. Known as the "anonymous lady of Kanagawa," Koto Okubo became the oldest woman from Japan after the death of Chiyono Hasegawa (1896-2011) at 115 years, on December 2, 2011, just days before completing 114 years. Little is known about the lady Okubo, since she was "discovered and identified" at this year's annual census done in Japan.
