I would like rights to edit some articles that need slight changes that will be really helpful. I really want to contribute and help the people out there with the information I know. Thanks! MadeInChina125 (talk) 12:48, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not done - Hi, and thank you for creating an account to edit Wikipedia. Although I fully understand your desire to dive right in, many of our articles are semi-protected because they are controversial, prone to vandalism, or other reasons. As a new editor with few edits, it might be wise to discuss your edits on the article talkpage in order to gain consensus for your edits, and then use {{Edit semi-protected}} to request the edit be performed. I only recommend this until you're used to the challenges of reliable sources, the biographies of living persons policy, and other similar policies. The good news is that fewer than 5% of Wikipedia articles are protected; this means that 95% of the articles can use your help right now!. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 12:58, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, thank you for taking your time to look and take consideration on my request. Have a nice day and thank you once more. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by MadeInChina125 (talkcontribs) 13:16, 26 November 2012‎

I noticed that the Vineyard Vines website was outdated (it lacked a logo, it did not mention ties, the implied number of stores was false, ect.) so I wanted to enhance the user experience and helpfulness of the website for those users. I have used Wikipedia many times, and it has been a great tool on the internet for me. I give others a similar experience. I also don't want to make 10 comments just to make 10 comments as this may dilute an already good page. Rather, I wish to improve certain pages when I am knowledgeable about the page topic as well as when the page could use improvement.

You don't need to be confirmed to edit pages unless they are protected, in which case please see WP:Edit requests and follow the instructions there. For images, please see the instructions at the top of this page. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 05:55, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to be able to use twinkle to fight vandals. Giants2012 (talk) 04:32, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. We appreciate your enthusiasm but using automated or semi-atomated tool for combating vandalism requires significant general editing experience first. This is not demonstrated with only 14 edits to mainspace. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 05:53, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I do periodic edits, and have done a page now and then. I just tried to update Andrey Iones name from Jones in the Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary page--as it is a minor correction and was stopped at SAVE by a need for the above. Thanks in advance for any assist. DaSauce (talk) 17:12, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
