Misspelling?

File:CITY OF BALLAARAT at Southern Cross Stn.png
Ballaarat?!

Hello Dan. I notice that you contributed the table listing the V/Line N-class locomotives' names. I wonder if you could explain what appears in this picture, which I took at Southern Cross Station recently. The name "Ballarat" seems to have been misspelt. Is there a story behind that? Kelisi (talk) 16:36, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind. I've worked it out. Kelisi (talk) 14:13, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Australian softball

Hey. I noticed waaaaaay back in 2006, you did some work on Australian softball articles. If you're interested, I'm working on prepping some Australian softball articles on my user space with the intention of moving to them to the main user space later this week after the Australia v Japan test series. Any help improving them by adding sources and information would be much appreciated. I'll happily give DYK credit for any articles you help contribute to. :) --LauraHale (talk) 20:44, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Softball Australia.jpg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Softball Australia.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 20:30, 5 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Baseball Victoria has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable, no sources found.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. July WMAU Melbourne Meetup

Hi, At last month's June meetup we discussed the idea of setting up a Training Course at a University of the Third Age (U3A) to be held in 2013 and named Becoming a Wikipedia editor. In order to get this course up and running we are calling for volunteers to help develop the idea, and either tutor part of the course, or provide one on one help to students in the class. All local Wikipedians are welcome to discuss this at our 11am meetup to be held this Sunday on 22 July. Please add your name to the attending list at Wikipedia:Meetup/Melbourne 23. Food and beverages are provided. Cuddy Wifter (talk) 03:58, 13 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
