Reason for requesting confirmed rights Prasenna.kannan (talk) 07:23, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Folks,

I want to add a new document to wiki, for which it requires 10 edits and 4 days. But, i have been given an option to be approved directly by the Administrator. Please, do so. Thanks in advance.

Regards, Prasenna

Question: Yes, we know how autoconfirmed works. However, you have not said why you need to be autoconfirmed? If it has to do with images, see the note at the top of this page. If it has to do wth images for an article that is still in creation mode, then we do not upload images for it, yet. Please explain why you feel you need autoconfirmed rights (✉→BWilkins←✎) 10:30, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think Bwilkins means why you feel you need confirmed rights, as this is what the page is for. I do agree with BWilkins though. Vacationnine Public 01:23, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. You are already able to create articles and edit existing ones (that aren't protected). Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:34, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

User:BombayBeach

I'm assistant to filmmaker Alma Har'el and have been requested by her to update the page for her documentary film "Bombay Beach", by adding images from the film along with press quotes. (she has full copyright to all the materials) BombayBeach (talk) 17:50, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Is she willing to release copyrights of the images? If not, have you read Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria and do they meet all the criteria in the policy section of that page? GB fan 20:54, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The images meet all the criteria in the policy section of the "Non-free content criteria" page. BombayBeach
Not done. If she owns the copyright then she must contact us herself to release the copyright. That said, as you are her employee, you must read Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide before you do anything else. Thanks. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:40, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I am the National Web Manager for the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia and have been tasked with updating and verifying content on the Wikipedia page. Including adding our correct logo and ensuring all content accurate with updated stats. All images and logos used are RFDS brand images that we own the copyright to in full. Beckspt2 (talk) 00:34, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not done. Please read Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide before you do anything. For images, please see the instructions at the top of this page. Your user name is also against our user name policy. Please see the note on your talk page. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 03:09, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

User:Great Ali Hussain

I want to save books which i create so please grant me this right. Great Ali Hussain (talk) 11:18, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: Wikipedia is not a book publisher. You might like to look elsewhere, for example Wikibooks. kashmiri 18:48, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
To admins: please check whether this is not a sockpuppet acct of User:Great User vel User:Greatuser. kashmiri 18:50, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
(Non-administrator comment) Saving books requires the user to be autoconfirmed. Mlpearc (powwow) 18:55, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
My bad, I assumed this new account wants to publish books here. Naturally, if that's about saving books their request is fully valid. kashmiri 19:51, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
If you don't understand the terminology, nor the process, please don't comment. The socking CANNOT be investigated here - use SPI if you feel you have a case (✉→BWilkins←✎) 21:19, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The right to upload a copyrighted, non-free work. The logo of the Liberal Democrats, image sourced from official political party pdf file and then formatted into a SVG file for use in the infobox, in fair use allowing readers to identify with the organisation. Cannot request file to be uploaded by another user due to myself being the original formatter, and non-free work files being non-permitted to being uploaded on Wiki-Commons. Requesting to add additional biographical information for Ray Lewis, NFL player, Ravens Carranomx (talk) 16:10, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not done - Hi, and thank you for creating an account to edit Wikipedia. Although I fully understand your desire to dive right in, many of our articles are semi-protected because they are controversial, prone to vandalism, or other reasons. As a new editor with few edits, it might be wise to discuss your edits on the article talkpage in order to gain consensus for your edits, and then use {{Edit semi-protected}} to request the edit be performed. I only recommend this until you're used to the challenges of reliable sources, the biographies of living persons policy, and other similar policies. The good news is that fewer than 5% of Wikipedia articles are protected; this means that 95% of the articles can use your help right now!. Armbrust The Homunculus 16:50, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

User:Shadowxtc

I feel that my account should already have been auto-confirmed, as I have been a registered user for at least 5 years, have contributed many (albeit small) edits along with a few larger contributions from time to time, and do not believe I have ever done anything to violate the rules or anything like that. Shadowxtc (talk) 18:17, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Already done - You are already autoconfirmed (Before this request you had only 5 edits). Armbrust The Homunculus 18:30, 10 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
