The Mestre tramway (Italian: Tranvia di Mestre) serves Mestre and Favaro Veneto 2 boroughs of Venice in the mainland. In operation since 2011, it is presently 6.3 km (3.9 mi) long, and comprises one line, linking Favaro Veneto with Mestre (railway station). It is under construction the link with piazzale Roma (the main bus station) in Venice and the link with Marghera (another borough of Venice).

The tramway uses Translohr system.

History

Trams returned to Mestre on 20 December 2011. Mestre's earlier urban and suburban tramway network had been disposed of more than half a century earlier, following the closure of its last line in 1951.
