Origin and discography of Patrice Wilson

Which city was Patrice Wilson born in, in Nigeria. Also he seems to have a long musical history prior to ARK Music Factory particularly in Europe. But what recordings has he released in the European phase of his musical career? werldwayd (talk) 00:28, 28 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hes also a pedophile -- add that to the wiki, the article is protected and this is general knowledge. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.115.2.168 (talk) 13:02, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You cannot add information on Wikipedia just because it is "general knowledge". You must find a reliable source that states this fact. (Nevertheless this is untrue; if he was a pedophile he wouldn't have the job he does now.) --andy4789 · (talk? contribs?) 15:47, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Advance Fee Fraud

There seems to be many people editing this page to suggest that Patrice Wilson has been involved in Advance Fee Fraud.

Example 2

Example 3

However, all the citations point to personal blogs that cannot seriously be referenced. Has anyone got an actual news link/verifiable citation to prove this fact? Until then I will revert these edits, unless someone tells me to stop. Thanks --andy4789 · (talk? contribs?) 15:41, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Advance fee fraud is totally unwarranted in this case. Advance fees are scams to get more fees and deliver nothing. Ever since it was revealed Mr.Wilson was born in Nigeria, it has become a "free for all" for calling him a scammer. When you say, as ARK does, a song will cost you 4000 dollars and then you deliver the single with that exact payment, in a matter of days, it is no more an advance payment scam. It is just a contract. As simple as that. As for sources provided for such a claim, these are totally unreliable sarcastic sites and inappropriate for use as references, let alone basing facts on them in Wikipedia articles. The original text here said there were "allegations he was exploiting kids". And he addressed this concern in many comments he made. We duly reflected that and felt alright keeping that. But enough of this "scamming Nigerian" stuff. werldwayd (talk) 03:47, 8 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nigerian?

Firstly allegations were that he exploits rich kids in the guise of a record label, then after we know he's a Nigerian. Coincidence much? Nigerians are infamous for their con-artist tactics, also known as the 419 scam. I wouldn't be surprised if he turns out to be a scammer as well. Since we can write allegations that he exploits rich kids, I don't see why we cannot add allegations about his dishonesty due to his Nigerian roots. 202.156.10.12 (talk) 04:20, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a place for "allegations". In the case of 'exploiting' rich kids, it doesn't come up this way in the article (NPOV), and there is a valid reference to it. So it's allowed in the article. If you can find a reference regarding his "dishonest practices" that isn't on a blog and isn't opinionated, and you don't tilt the point of view of the article, then feel free to put this allegation in. Also remember that anyone of any ethnicity can be dishonest - so please don't refer to his Nigerian origins because that could be interpreted as racism. Americans are infamous for being fat, that doesn't mean they all are. --andy4789 · (talk? contribs?) 22:11, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Birthday

His birthday is on the 28th of July. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.72.172.244 (talk) 15:21, 1 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Any sources for this date? We would also need a year. A month and day are useless without a year mentioned. werldwayd (talk) 03:33, 21 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Protected indefinitely

Due to persistent, and rather egregious, BLP vandalism from one individual in a limited IP range--see here for the most recent example, and the talk page note two sections above for context--I have semi-protected this article indefinitely. While unfortunate I think it's necessary as time-limited protections have not bored the vandal to death. Editors without a user account who want to make legitimate changes to the article should start a discussion here on the talk page, or can try contacting me if they are not getting a response. --Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 04:36, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism? I saw that people are only putting up facts that others have questioned his character motives because of his Nigerian descent, and yet are removed, because its "racist" remarks. There are blogs outside that speculated that he is a scammer, which I dare argue may correlate to his Nigerian roots. 218.186.8.10 (talk) 14:39, 6 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to remove the note that he is also known as 'Fat Usher'. The source provided for this claim is a private youtube video, so the claim cannot be verified. Toraton (talk) 19:25, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Done thanks! i thought i had removed that yesterday, but I must have missed it. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 19:53, 11 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
