Xenia Tchoumitcheva (born 5 August 1987[1] in Magnitogorsk, Russia) is a Russian-Swiss model and entrepreneur.[2]

Career

Early years

Tchoumicheva was born in Magnitogorsk in Russia. When she was 6 years old her family emigrated to Lugano, Switzerland.[3]

She graduated in 2010 after having achieved a 3-year Bachelor Degree in economics.[4][5] She speaks five languages (Italian, Russian, German, French and English).[4]

Beauty contests and awards

Tchoumitcheva entered the national "Miss Switzerland" pageant in 2006[6] and was judged as both 1st runner-up and Miss Photogenic.[2] After the contest she was considered the "most eligible single woman in Switzerland".[7] In May 2009 she has been elected as the Best Bikini Body, according to a survey by the magazine Schweizer Illustrierte.[8] In 2012 she was featured with a photoshoot and personal interview in the spanish GQ magazine.[9]

In December 2012, the Swiss edition of Maxim magazine graced her with the cover and its annual title of "Most Beautiful Woman of the Year".[10][11][12]

Actress

Tchoumitcheva began to work in commercials and music videos in 2007 (e.g. "Candino-Festina").[13][14]

She starred in the short movie Les Enfants de la Honte of the French film maker Alain Margot,[15] which appeared on the NIFF film festival.[16] May 2010 saw release of a music video she was in with Italian-Swiss singer Paolo Meneguzzi.[17] In June she got a support role in a movie[18] and shot a small role in the 2011 film Without Men.[19]

January 2011: Xenia finishes shooting a role as a rockstar in the French cinema production Bob et Les Sex Pistaches starring the French actor Jules Sitruk.[20]

TV host

Among several hosting engagements, she presented the Miss Switzerland 2011 pageant live on the three national channels on 24 September 2011.[21]

In March 2012 Tchoumicheva started to host her own TV show about successful Italian businesses called "L'Italia che funziona", on Italian channels Rete 4 and Italia1.[22][23][24]

She also hosted Miss Ukraine 2012 in Russian, alongside the Russian comedians "Prozhektorperiskhilton" (ПрожекторПерисхилтон).[25][26][27]

In April 2013 Xenia was the official host, and catwalk model, of the annual Energy Fashion Night with Irina Shayk. [28] [29]

Spokesmodel

Tchoumitcheva is model of different brands: Visilab sunglasses,[30] Burger King[31] and Casino Lugano.[4]

In 2012 she was the official face of the Spanish airline AirEuropa,[32][33] Revlon cosmetics and Nikon cameras.[34][35]

Investment banking

In 2011, Tchoumicheva began a summer internship in JPMorgan's Investment Banking group. She has previously worked at Merrill Lynch and Duet Group.[36]
