- Hello, I am trying to upload a new corporate logo to the Apperian wikipedia page and apparently need a confirmed account. Thank you! Mlorion (talk) 00:44, 8 May 2013 (UTC)
- (Non-administrator comment) As stated in the notice at top of this page, your request will be denied if your reason is to upload a file. Wikipedia has a process for un-confirmed users to request a file be uploaded for them at Wikipedia:Files for upload. Mlpearc (powwow) 03:35, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

Because I want to go ahead and edit/create pages to help people learn more things quickly on Wikipedia.
- Not done. You haven't contributed anything yet - you do not need to be confirmed to edit the encyclopedia. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 04:14, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

- I have vast knowledge on the topics that I would be editing & other people have facts wrong & those topics & I would like to revise them, so that people will not be receiving incorrect information. I would not change anything unless I was absolutely sure about & I can already see a couple incorrect facts on some topics 13ubblezz (talk) 06:44, 12 May 2013 (UTC)
- Not done. As you have already discovered, you can edit the encyclopedia without needing your account to be confirmed. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 07:26, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

- Not done - Hi, and thank you for creating an account to edit Wikipedia. Although I fully understand your desire to dive right in, many of our articles are semi-protected because they are controversial, prone to vandalism, or other reasons. As a new editor with few edits, it might be wise to discuss your edits on the article talkpage in order to gain consensus for your edits, and then use {{Edit semi-protected}} to request the edit be performed. I only recommend this until you're used to the challenges of reliable sources, the biographies of living persons policy, and other similar policies. The good news is that fewer than 5% of Wikipedia articles are protected; this means that 95% of the articles can use your help right now! GB fan 21:59, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

I'd like to upload two files that contain information about a new cultural/arts service available through a downloadable app. The launch is Tuesday, May 14th, and I'd like to be able to upload the information as soon as possible. Many thanks.

Under the section called Secretary of State, there is a line of
>Powell later recounted how Vice President Dick Cheney had joked with him before he gave the speech, telling him, "You've got high poll ratings; you can afford to lose a few points." Powell's longtime aide-de-camp and Chief of Staff from 1989–2003, Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, later characterized Cheney's view of Powell's mission as to "go up there and sell it, and we'll have moved forward a peg or two. Fall on your damn sword and kill yourself, and I'll be happy, too."[48]
Powell did not recount this. Col. Wilkerson recounted it during his statement that "that both White House political adviser Karl Rove and Cheney had actively plotted to undermine him for the past three years." (same source as cited, (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/09/27/AR2006092700106_4.html)).
I would suggest that Wikipedia alters the statement to read
>Col. Wilkerson described that both White House political adviser Karl Rove and Cheney had actively plotted to undermine him (Powell) for the past three years and Powell had laughed when he described to his aides how the vice president, after a discussion of the upcoming U.N. speech, had poked him jocularly in the chest and said, "You've got high poll ratings; you can afford to lose a few points."
This would improve the accuracy of the original statement and align it with the source, instead of editorializing the statement and improperly citing it to Powell, who did not recount that.
