From stub "Cyaxeres": Cyaxeres is the name of an ancient king of the kingdom of medea, which existed in the western parts of modern day Iran. Cyaxeres was the third emperor of the medean nation. He was monarch during the medean war with the kingdom of Lydia which is mentioned by Herodutus in his Histories. He was also sovereign during the 25 year occupation of medea by the Scythians.
