{{help me}}

I have started running a wiki of my own, and need some help. The wiki is a resource for role playing games. I need to create several templates that function like Template:Infobox Planet. No matter what I try, I cannot build a template on my own as I do not know WML (Wiki Mark-up Language). I cannot find a page in the help section that teaches how to create a template from scratch. The only coding that I have manage to figure out is that on the right. This is for a planet but you can see the difference between this code and the code shown in a template created by the Wikipedia admins. Kargandarr (talk) 11:47, 13 February 2011 (UTC) Question for administrator {{adminhelp}} If it is not possible for the above question to be answered, is there any way that the code for the table could be used by someone more experienced to create a working template that I can export as xml and then import to my wiki. As I explained earlier, I am unfamiliar as to how a template for a wiki is constructed and cannot create a template that works as it should. --Kargandarr (talk) 11:47, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, but we can only help with matters relating directly to English Wikipedia.
Your Wiki will not be quite the same. Many templates depend on other templates, and/or various installed and customized extensions, specific to this wiki.
You might get some ideas from User:X!/Adoption/Templates - but do remember the above.
Apart from that, I can only suggest you look to mediawiki help.  Chzz  ►  13:37, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Kyriee

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Kyriee, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. New page

I have posted a new page recently. I did not have much information as yet and, please fix any errors that are apparent within the page. I don't have much information but the page title is on designation, while another is located further down the page. Please, leave this page up as a link on your page was leading to a location that did not exist, but does now.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on HD 139691 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. :)Ladsgroupبحث 15:48, 18 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:USS Enterprise NCC-1701 (Overhauled).svg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.

If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.

Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 03:51, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In reply to this deletion, check out these file addresses: [Enterprise NCC-1701 (Überholt).svg]

and

[[1]]

It is the same image as the one that was deleted only with a German name on the German branch of the system. The copyright for the copy that I uploaded applies to my copy as it does for the one at the address above.

Just for reference, this is the notice on the page through the lower address.

This image is released under the terms of the "Creative Commons" license, version 2.0.

The file page for this image was recreated by accident. I am sorry for this.

The article HD 139691 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't seem to meet WP:NASTRO

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Stop icon Your addition to HD 139691 has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. The entire section you added was directly copied from [2], which is already linked to from the article. You cannot simply copy content from SIMBAD into Wikipedia - this is illegal, violates Wikipedia's copyright policies, and is pointless duplication.
