Early life

Marcus Hill (also known as Dyrus) was born in 1992 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dyrus is a professional League of Legends player and the current top laner for Team SoloMid. When Dyrus was younger, he played baseball and karate. In his school years he suffered from occasional bullying because he was known as the nice guy, therefore making him an easy target for the bullies in school. When Dyrus graduated, his dad wanted Dyrus to work for him just to send him into a direction. However, the job didn't go too well and got caught sleeping on the job and yelled at for doing his work poorly. Dyrus told his dad he wanted to do computers so his dad fired him from the job. Several months later, Dyrus had a talk with his dad about him moving to New York. The day before moving away to New York, Dyrus made up and said it was very emotional.[2]

League of Legends career

Dyrus has been playing League of Legends since the beta phase and is known for being the dominant player. However, he hasn't always been the top laner. Dyrus played support for one of the first competitive teams in the League of Legends pro-scene, All or Nothing. Following the disbandment of All or Nothing, Dyrus joined Epik Gamer as top laner. Dyrus' popularity increased when he started streaming his matches on Twitch[3] because of his unique play, interesting personality and the success of Epik Gamer at LAN tournaments. Dyrus later moved in with New York based Team SoloMid to pursue a full time gaming career but still played for Epik Gamer. Following the resign of TheRainMan from Team SoloMid, TSM was without a top laner, to which Dyrus took the opportunity to join their team. With his former team's blessing, and due to being physically available at the time, Dyrus resigned from Epik Gamer and now plays top laner for Team SoloMid[4]
