Her distinctive looks transcend East and West allowing Khan to work in Dubai, Europe, India, North America and Pakistan. She has featured in lists of the top 10 most beautiful female models [1] in the UK and top 50 most sexiest south Asian women in the world, alongside other popular celebrities.

Early life

Khan was brought up in Canada, and although her family originate from Pakistan, she is of mixed heritage. Her father's side are Rajasthani Rajput from India, whilst her mother’s side are of Iranian and Pashtun descent. Khan’s initial interest in the media came while studying drama at high school in Ontario. In her final year she was offered a modelling contract in Toronto but chose to complete her education first. After finishing high school Khan moved to the UK to study for a degree. After graduating from University in Manchester she turned away from a full-time business carer, rejecting the traditional UK Blue chip graduate management route in favour of the Media.

Education

Khan holds an honours degree in Business in addition to gained a Diploma in Science, both from Universities in the UK. Additionally she possesses High School and Further education qualifications from her home in Canada.

Career

Upcoming Projects

Khan, despite starting in the industry recently, has landed lead roles catching the eye of producers and film makers eager to capitalise on her fresh face. Imminent projects due for release in early 2014 include a major new serial - Bin Roye Ansoo. This is a production by Hum TV based on the best selling novel of the same name by Farhat Ishtiaq. In it Khan will play the role of Saman alongside Pakistani stars Mahira Khan and Humayun Saeed.

Khan has agreed to feature in the British film - Echoes from Eternity, which is Bafta nominated Aneel Ahmed's latest short film. It is rumoured that this project is being designed to compete at upcoming film festivals in 2014, including Cannes film festival at which Khan already appeared in 2013 with her film - Writhe and has expressed a desire to win the Palme d'Or.

But Khan's real push is expected towards Bollywood in 2014 where she is understood to be in talks with leading film makers in India regarding possible projects. Following her first Bollywood film release - It's too much Khan will be seen making a guest appearance in another Bollywood film - Unforgettable, in which she will play the role of a Ghazal singer.

Film and Television

2013 witnessed the broadcasting of Khan's first serious acting performances. Previous to this she undertook mainly commercial modelling work and experimental short films. In May 2013 Khan's film Writhe was selected for the 2013 Cannes film festival. It is a British film directed by Shiraz Ali and shows Khan playing the role of a depraved female serial killer.

Modelling

Her early work involved a wide range of projects extending from music videos and magazine cover shoots to live modelling, as she explored different roles in the industry before deciding on screen acting. She received offers early on in her career from glamour magazines and risqué acting roles in English-language productions but she rejected these as they conflicted with her vision to forge a ‘serious’ acting career. Her first significant screen role came when she was offered a part in the 2009 music video for ‘Dil Ka Diya’ by Singer Omer Nadeem. She was spotted by Pakistani producer, Sohail Jawed and an advertisement agent Khawar Riaz. She featured in the 2010 Faysal Bank print and television advertisement campaign, which introduced her to South Asian television screens. This was followed in 2011 by her successful campaign for Nisha linen by Nishat Group produced by Guudu and Shani. This was so successful that Khan was asked to front a larger repeat campaign in 2012.
