Wargaming.net is a strategy game developer operating since 1998. The company has development centers in Belarus, Ukraine, USA and Russia. There are also Wargaming.net offices in Cyprus, France, Germany, the USA, South Korea, Singapore and Australia[2]

Wargaming.net is well known for its critically acclaimed Massive Assault series.[3] The company is also highly acknowledged for its recent World War II real-time strategy game Order of War published by Square Enix.[4][5] Wargaming.net was the first game development company to produce a game for Square Enix.[6]

History

In 2007, Wargaming.net acquired Arise, an independent PC game studio, and currently consists of nearly 800 employees.

in 2010, Wargaming.net launched World of Tanks in Russia

On August 7, 2012, Wargaming.net acquired BigWorld middleware firm for $45M.[7]

On February 14, 2013, they announced plans to buy the struggling developer Gas Powered Games.[8]

In 2012, Wargaming's revenue was declared to be 217.9 million Euro, with net profit of 6.1 million Euro, as declared in an annual report for the Cyprus Stock Exchange. The money gained by Wargaming almost exclusively came from World of Tanks.[9][10]

In July, 2013, Wargaming.net bought the Master of Orion franchise and the Total Annihilation franchise from the Atari bankruptcy proceedings. [11]
