  •  Not done - If the file you want to upload is available under a free license, it should be uploaded to our free media repository, the Commons. You do not need any special permissions to upload there, and you can use the same username and password you use here. If it is not available under a free license, it should be requested using the Files for Upload process, which does not require any special permissions. GB fan 01:02, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I created this page for a friend of mine and he is on the verge of a major modeling contract. Being on Wikipedia can only help his chances for notariety. I do not have the time or the resources to correct 10 articles. Please accept my request for auto-confirmation!!!! DiegoArnary (talk) 15:15, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not done I don't think you know how Wikipedia works yet, so you might want to take the time to read this. m.o.p 02:35, 29 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Not done - Hi, and thank you for creating an account to edit Wikipedia. Although I fully understand your desire to dive right in, many of our articles are semi-protected because they are controversial, prone to vandalism, or other reasons. As a new editor with few edits, it might be wise to discuss your edits on the article talkpage in order to gain consensus for your edits, and then use {{Edit semi-protected}} to request the edit be performed. I only recommend this until you're used to the challenges of reliable sources, the biographies of living persons policy, and other similar policies. The good news is that fewer than 5% of Wikipedia articles are protected; this means that 95% of the articles can use your help right now! ES&L 16:30, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
We would like create an wiki entry for our EU project BioCAT (see also http://biocat.bioenergy2020.eu). To fulfill the project funding requirements we are prompted to create it by 31.10.2013 latest. The fotos, we would like to upload, are under full copyright of BIOENERGY2020+ GmbH, which is an extra-mural research institute for solid biofuels and the coordinator of the project. Thank you very mucht. SchwablM (talk) 16:33, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Request to add image due to school project with specific guidelines and instructions ClaireLA (talk) 19:37, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am requesting to download an image to add to an expansion of the WikiProjects linguistics, on the Reciprocal Pronouns page. Our UBC project for our LING 300 class on Syntax gave us instructions so far to only edit one page for a project, and we have not been instructed to do more than this (therefore I have not done my ten edits that are required to upload an image).

Is it possible to get permission to attach an image from a citeable source for this project (a visual representation of syntactic structure in the form of a syntax tree)? We were not told to make 10 edits, and haven't done so, and are restricted from expanding our project at this point.

I would like to update a non-free corporate eBuddy logo for company's Wikipedia page (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EBuddy). I already tried to submit requests for others to upload the new logo, but have not received any answer in 4 weeks. My main goal is to update eBuddy's profile on Wikipedia. I would much appreciate it if this auto-confirmation could be passed as I am managing the Macclesfield Town, Macclesfield Basketball Club and am attempting the upload of a logo for the basketball club. This account is being created as a legit alternate to user:djd. Due to the recent password security breach, the password of all accounts were required to be changed. I did reset the djd password, but I've no clue what I changed it to. Unfortunately, I did not have email enabled, so it's not possible to recover my original account. This fits the criteria under Compromised accounts. I'm requesting confirmation so I can start moving the old account's user pages to this account. I'd rather not try to re-invent the wheel, or generate a bogus edit count simply to achieve auto-confirmation. I hope this makes sense ... I'm making this request specifically to keep my activities above board, and somehow, the idea of trying to achieve auto-confirmation status, in this situation, somehow seems dishonest to me.  Not done This request would only be granted if you would login with the other account and confirmed the connection, however according to your comment you can't do that. Armbrust The Homunculus 06:32, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: What security breach, and what passwords needed to be changed? None that I know of ES&L 18:44, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
affected users got an email informing them their account information may have been hacked. I think there was an official announcement somewhere as well. I came back from my vacation to find that the WMF had assigned me a temporary password and I had to come up with a new one. It looks like in this case the user forgot what thy changed it to, so we can't actually verify the connection. Beeblebrox (talk) 19:13, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
