Confirmed

(add requestview requests)
Hi guys. I've been a regular visitor to Wikipedia for years now and feel I have things I could add to certain pages and create pages also, this is something I would love to begin doing because I believe what you're doing is exemplary and just wish to join in this amazing encyclopedia of life. Thank you. Yoonchip (talk) 01:01, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I want to be able to upload a picture I took myself to the Wikipedia page that I created, Spring Black Stem. I'm trying to complete a project for my UW Madison college course, in plant pathology. If my account could be confirmed I would greatly appreciate it!

Comment - An extraneous header has been removed from this request (sorry for the handwritten notice, I'm currently editing on my BlackBerry). hmssolent\You rang? ship's log 06:05, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not done - If the file you want to upload is available under a free license, it should be uploaded to our free media repository, the Commons. You do not need any special permissions to upload there, and you can use the same username and password you use here. If it is not available under a free license, it should be requested using the Files for Upload process, which does not require any special permissions.. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk)

  •  Not done - Hi, and thank you for creating an account to edit Wikipedia. Although I fully understand your desire to dive right in, many of our articles are semi-protected because they are controversial, prone to vandalism, or other reasons. As a new editor with few edits, it might be wise to discuss your edits on the article talkpage in order to gain consensus for your edits, and then use {{Edit semi-protected}} to request the edit be performed. I only recommend this until you're used to the challenges of reliable sources, the biographies of living persons policy, and other similar policies. The good news is that fewer than 5% of Wikipedia articles are protected; this means that 95% of the articles can use your help right now! ES&L 15:39, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I run a website, Stadium Journey, where we publish reviews of sports stadiums from around the world. To date, we have reviewed over 1,600 stadiums in 36 countries. I have the rights to all photos on our website, and I believe I can greatly improve many of your stadium and sports team pages that either lack photos, or have outdated photos. We also will visit other sites as part of our review process and travel, so we have access to other non sports sites which could be helpful. I am not interested in updating content, so will not meet the 10 edit minimum in order to upload photos. I hope you'll allow me access to do so. PaulSwaney (talk) 17:03, 17 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there, I have recently done some major reconstruction in an poorly written and organized article, Toontown Online, however, unfortunately, due to some persistent vandalism from other users, it was changed to semi-protected. Another user, (CaptainKelvin) (talk), however did do some major content removal before that happened. We have now settled and come to an agreement to what should and should not be included. Nevertheless, we cannot edit the article anymore, and one of us would like to be confirmed. We are also continuing to improve the article to raise its status, which is why we will find it tedious and unproductive to request for every edit we find. CaptainKelvin, another unregistered user and I have already addressed, with each other, more minor mistakes we have found and need editing. Additionally, we are very knowledgeable in this topic which is why we are interested in working together, to improving its article in Wikipedia. I also would have already far passed the needed edits to become confirmed if I had made separate edits, however, instead I took the article and worked on it over a time span of several days before submitting it. Thank you, NightHawkCanada (talk) 05:23, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. Sorry, but the last thing we want is for people to come here and use Wikipedia for promotional purposes. In fact, it can get them blocked. Please see Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, and consider sticking to social networking sites or create a proper web site for your band.
