Minor component of fictional work concern
I added this page because when searching for "Trumptonshire" I discovered that there was no page and decided that a redirect page would be inappropriate since the "county" is equally relevant to three different series (Camberwick Green, Trumpton and Chigley). I considered redirecting to List of fictional counties but realised that this might be confusing for some, so instead I created this page explaining what the county was and how it related to the three programmes. I've also noticed that when browsing the various entries on the three series, I found it difficult to actually navigate between the three. This page (and the template I've created) make this easier. --Thetriangleguy 19:22, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
TV Job Characters previously used in one of the Trumptonshire programmes
Since the Trumptonshire programmes, several animated (such as stop-frame animation, 2D Cartoon animation and CGI animation) series for children have been produced in the 1980s, the 1990s and the 2000s, based on characters with particular jobs. Many of these have been previously used in one of the Trumptonshire programmes:
- Fireman Sam (The Trumpton Fire Brigade)
- Postman Pat (Peter Hazel the postman)
- Bob The Builder (Mr Clutterbuck the builder)
- Joshua Jones (Mr Rumpling the barge owner)
According to The Trumptonshire Web nobody informed there were other job characters that were-
- MechaNick (Mr Crockett the garage owner)
- Percy the Park Keeper (Mr Craddock the park keeper)
In the mid-2000's Windy and his mill got a modernised related show called Summerton Mill
Could Doctor Mopp be counterparted with the stop-frame animated animal character called Doctor Otter?
Could PC McGarry the policeman of Camberwick Green be related to the 2D animated police cartoon characters like PC Pinkerton or the 2000's cat police character Sergeant Stripes?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.13.25.216 (talk) 16:19, 20 January 2014 (UTC)
