Bani J is a well known face of urban indian television thanks to her work over the years for MTV India. She is a leading personality among the youth and often referred to as a Youth Icon. She is known for her love of tattoos, leading and inspiring those around her to lead a fit and healthy lifestyle along with being extremely funny and witty. It doesnt hurt that she is easy on the eyes.]].[1]

Apart from her work on MTV, Bani has also extended her performance to the big screen: She acted in Himesh Reshammiya's 2007 Aap Kaa Surroor (film)|Aap Kaa Surroor]].[1] followed by an appearance in 2011 'Soundtrack' featuring Rajeev Khandelwal and Soha Ali Khan. The film is loosely based on 'Its All Gone Pete Tong', followed by 'Ishqueria' shot in 2012-2013 featuring Richa Chadha and Neil Nitin Mukesh, the film is yet to be released. Her most current film is 'Zorawar' (2014) is a Punjabi film featuring YYHS, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Mukul Dev, Amit Singh and Pawan Malhotra. She plays an Assassin called 'Zoya'. The film is set to release in July 2014.

She has also done an AD for Aircel with Dhoni (2010) and a special appearance on Disney's popular Kya Mast Hai Life show as 'Sheena' (2011)

Education

Born on November 29, in Chandigarh, Bani attended a private school : Vivek High till the 7th standard. She then attended Woodstock International School in the foothills of the Himalayas in Mussoorie and graduated from there in 2006. Shortly after graduating, she gave her audition for MTV Hero Roadies Season 4 from Chandigarh itself. She thought it would be a good idea to travel the country and do something fun before heading out to Art School in the states, little did she know that her selection in the show would became a turning point in her career.

Career

Known for her outspoken nature, attitude and unwillingness to play games with contestants, Bani fast became a public favorite and ended up becoming the runner up of the MTV Roadies (season 4). Her performance was well received and paved the way for her to become an anchor at MTV shortly after. Being one of the leading VJ's for the moment, Bani is a busy model, actress and enjoys travelling the world collecting tattoos and inspiration for her future projects that she hopes to share with everyone later this year. [2] However she was eliminated in one of the last episodes of the show.
