...I liked the interactive tutorial. The only bug I found was when I made a mistake editing a page and for some reason when I went to re-edit the sandbox page incorporated all of the code from the pop up screen.

The interactive sandbox was very helpful! I found the text and instructions easy to understand, and there are just enough links to Wikipedia etiquette in the training pages that I'll be inclined to come back and reference them.

I didn't enjoy the videos and would have much rather learned through means of text and pictures or the sandbox. As such, I skipped a few.
- What was missing
A set of example pages, possibly? Though anyone could easily find them, a set of examples of what to or not to do would have been more illustrative than just text. For instance, the visual difference between a stub and a B-class article.

The emphasis on being bold, but I'm sure that has its reasons.

... When I linked to bold the boldness article came up (which I'm guessing is a fairly recent change) and the editing tutorial viewed this as an error. At the time, I was unable to continue. - What I liked
I liked how there were different videos to accompany some of the topics. They made the training more engaging. I also liked how there was hand on learning, especially in regards to editing.

I'm not sure if this was just a glitch, but I had trouble with the bold link. I put the word bold into the double brackets: bold, however it always took me to the wiki article about boldness, not the article about bold. There was a pop up that said I should try again, and I did, but still obtained the same result. Is there a way to just get the link to open to the wiki article about bold?

I think it would have been neat to have users set up something on their own user page. Maybe involve editing our own user page as part of the training. For example, you could have users type in Hello Wikipedia, and bold it, then save to their own user page.
- What was unnecessary
For me I'm more of a visual learner, so although the training made good use of lists I still felt there was a lot of text. I definitely remember the information from the videos much better. Perhaps if there is a section with text and video, just use the video and elaborate on it further.

Overall I thought it was very helpful. The only trouble I had was with the link going to the bold wiki article, as mentioned above.

I very much enjoyed the explanations and examples involved with the different modules. Each one firmly demonstrated what needs to be done.

There were not enough visual examples to go along with the modules. I would of liked to see more demonstration visually.

I liked learning about the pillars behind Wikipedia, as well as having the opportunity to learn some of the basic wiki markup.

The interactive editing tutorial did a really good job of teaching; however, there was an issue when linking to the bold page. When I applied the double square brackets around bold, it already linked to the boldness page instead of to the typography page.

I enjoyed the videos and I thought that they were very helpful. They assisted in my understanding of the topics and points being discussed in the slides.

I did not like how all of the links changed the pages. I think that they should continue to update the orientation and make it pop into another browser automatically.

...There were a lot of links to other pages which I think I needed to read and did read but which overall made it a bit overwhelming. Also it said it would take approximately one hour but I spent significantly more time than that and still feel like I could spend another hour easily going through the links. Some of the text was redundant with the videos and the videos much more useful.

I also like that there are multiple ways to ask for help when either picking out topics or needing help in editing. The orientation was very broad and covered important knowledge and skills needed to properly edit Wikipedia.

In some areas, I think the orientation was too broad. For example, in the five pillars section, it provided the guidelines, but didn't elaborate very thoroughly.

Nothing felt unnecessary. All the information was valuable for editors.

- I liked how videos were provided to accompany text. This made it easy to follow along after reading each section. I also liked how there were interactive editing tutorials.

- I did not like how you had to keep manually opening up each link separately (to avoid losing your place in the tutorial).

- I think that more interactive editing tutorials should be added. I would have preferred an interactive tutorial for every section. As well, a potential quiz or review at the end would have been a wonderful learning tool.

- I really appreciated the effort it took to create the interactive editing tutorials. - What I liked
Great overview of editing! I was interested in working on some articles before I even signed up for this class, but now I'm even more motivated to do so and feel like I have the knowledge to start with a basic article.

The pop-up guide didn't always work when I opened a link in a new window. But I was able to go back and figure most of it out.

… The interactive editing tutorials were an easy-to-follow, modern way to learn how to use Wikipedia. I believe that the easiest way to learn how to do something is by following along. The interactive tutorials did just that! I also found the youtube videos to be extremely helpful. Overall, this orientation was a great way to learn how to use Wikipedia.

- The structure is clear and navigation is easy.
- Text is easily understandable.
- Videos are great and include subtitles.
- The Interactive editing tutorials are helpful option.
- The feature that displays the current page out of the total pages in that section is helpful.
- What I didn't like
I like everything about it. However, some of the pages included test edits by new Wikipedians (mistakes) which made the pages confusing. Some of these edits were not corrected for months. In order to clean those pages, I did undo some changes on one page and reverted another page.
- What was missing
It was complete.

There is nothing notably unnecessary.

- I like how it is offered as an option since not everyone will need it.
- I find it very useful that it continues in a new browser tab, and that you can move back and forward through the interactive tutorial. Because it does not disappear if you mistakenly go to another page (not page specific), you can go back to the previous page and continue the tutorial.

... I thought the orientation was quite clear and simple to follow. The use of text, images and multimedia is excellent in that it covers the wide range of learning paths. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

...Apparently my browser could not view the image on the page. I had to continually view in YouTube format, but, it was manageable and hitting the back arrow to get back to the tutorial was simple.
