I have started to use internal links within the text, and move external links down into footnotes. In some cases I have simply replaced the external links with internal, as they were for the home pages of the relevant organisation, rather than a specific news page mentioning Pigott. There are more like that which have yet to be checked. – Fayenatic London 20:19, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest indeed

I don't think I've ever stumbled across a more self-gushing auto?biography than this one. This person might hurt themselves if they thump themselves on the back any harder. I read all the glassdoor reviews about Paccar and the common theme seems to be that the CEO is a less than charming individual that rules through fear. I read his bio and he seems to rival Jesus for good deeds. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.199.227.75 (talk) 12:26, 9 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Poorly-sourced potentially-libelous information

I'll be removing these two paragraphs until the contributor replaces them including reliably-sourced citations. WP:ALIVE WP:RS RichBryan (talk) 15:58, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

As discussed on my talk page, I reviewed and supported this deletion. – Fayenatic London 21:45, 27 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

User Account

Following feedback from much more experienced Wikipedia contributors, I have created a new user account. I will not share this account information with my successor. He or she must create his or her own account. I was most recently posting as User talk:Paccar984.

COI declaration

I am employed by Paccar. I edit Paccar-related articles from requests by others who also work for Paccar. As is the case in any large corporation, there exist many opinions about how we want to affect our Wikipedia entries. I will do my best to make only factual edits and not biased, or sales-focussed updates. Paccar984 User2 (talk) 12:04, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deleting Editing this section soon

I have chosen to begin editing under my own name. This section becomes irrelevant partially-unnecessary as I will be deleting the account requesting the disablement of the account Paccar984 User2 (talk). I'll allow this comment to stand for 2 weeks. The section will be deleted from edited on the talk page after October 15th, 2014. RichBryan (talk) 04:56, 27 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Editors employed by PACCAR used user Paccar984 (talk) in the past, so I'll be modifying this section to continue having a COI WP:COI declaration for that account. RichBryan (talk) 21:18, 27 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am RichBryan (talk). I am employed full time by Paccar. I edit Paccar-related articles by request from others who also work for the company. Paccar does not employ staff to contribute to Wikipedia, however Paccar has appointed staff to contribute as a supplementary job responsibility.

I will make only factual edits. I will not make biased (WP:NPOV), or sales-focused, edits. I will avoid making original-research-based edits (WP:OR) unless I can find adequate citations (WP:RS) to support them.

WebSolEditor (talk) is my coworker at Paccar. She has made her WP:COI declaration here: WebSolEditor.

Formerly, we (RichBryan and WebSolEditor) used and shared the user account Paccar984 (talk) to edit Paccar-related articles. We no longer practice sharing of an account.
