Hello, Qed237. You have new messages at Zafiraman's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.
    Okay QED237 (talk) 10:53, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    Note: Message was probably added 13 March 2015. QED237 (talk) 10:57, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Vandalism

Good day @Qed237: I saw you have warned this user several times. He's at it again. Just thought you should know. BlueworldSpeccie (talk) 19:32, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@BlueworldSpeccie: Okay, thanks for the information. I saw one edit earlier he made and that edit was good, but I will take a look. Oncea again, thank you for letting me know about the situation. QED237 (talk) 19:50, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Qed237: I just looked at him again and I made a mistake. It wasn't him it was a different user. My bad. BlueworldSpeccie (talk) 19:55, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@BlueworldSpeccie: No problem, everyone makes mistakes. No harm done. QED237 (talk) 19:56, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Taulant Xhaka

Hallo Qed237, you state: If he was always a Basel player it should not be split only because of a loan. I ask you why (???) The Infobox is for the footballers playing career in chronological order, a loan means that the career is continued somewhere else. Loans definitely do interrupt career at the owner club. Also, my figures of games and goals are correct, please see his profile at: Swiss Football League homepage. I have also repaired this link. Greetings --Huligan0 (talk) 20:16, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Huligan0: The infobox years are contract years and as a player still has contract with the old club during a loan, he is considered active in that club. Also please read the example at Template:Infobox football biography that has player "Tim Template" at Template Rangers 2009-2012 with a loan on 2011. The example use for how to use the template is not separated and that is not how it has ever been done. QED237 (talk) 20:19, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hallo Qed237, I'm not interested in an argument about an "attribute". It's the figures that explain the history (!!!) The number of games, goals and the date that you re-inserted with your revert are all incorrect. That's non-productive. And you did the same with Fabian Frei, totally incorrect infos. I send you friendly greetings (with a productive wish) --Huligan0 (talk) 21:56, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Huligan0: You were the one changing the clubs (split in two), I just restored a better version. QED237 (talk) 21:59, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    ...with outdated infos. Like I said, non-productive... --Huligan0 (talk) 22:30, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree, it was productive to restore article to a better version. QED237 (talk) 22:35, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Premier League

Were you annoyed at that user for his edit? TeaLover1996 (talk) 23:11, 3 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaLover1996: Yes, a little bit. He was blocked for 3 days recently (it ended two days ago) for adding unsourced content and editing disruptive, after adding Bournmouth to 2015-16 Premier League when they had not qualified and many other unsourced edits. And now he did the same thing so I was a bit annoyed that he never learns. QED237 (talk) 00:51, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Strange, how can someone say a team is promoted or has won a cup when they haven't done so, like you said editors should wait until it has happened before making changes to articles. TeaLover1996 (talk) 04:24, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: I have some understanding, it is not every day a team catches 3points and 20 goals in one match, but they should learn after the first time and not do it again. One time is nothing and easy to assume good faith but if they continue it can get annoying. QED237 (talk) 10:26, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Problem

I have a problem I hope you can help with, I have the clock gadget enabled in the top right hand corner of my screen which is 1 hour slower than the time where I am because of time zones, so which time do I go with mine or the one on the clock? TeaLover1996 (talk) 04:35, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaLover1996: Hmm, I have never used clock gadget. I will take a look later when I have the time. QED237 (talk) 10:27, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I understand now. That clock shows UTC so with that you can see what time it is UTC and compare with talkpage posts and see how long ago they were added. You can probably set it to other timezone in preferences if you want. I never use that clock. QED237 (talk) 10:30, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Time

If I make an edit and the time shown is different to the time in my time zone its not wrong is it? TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:37, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No it is not wrong. It is often shown in UTC. QED237 (talk) 19:45, 4 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    Is your time zone DST? TeaLover1996 (talk) 22:07, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: DST is not a time zone but my timezone uses DST. I am currently in CEST (UTC+2) and in the winter CET (UTC+1). One hour ahead of Great Britain. QED237 (talk) 22:14, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Is it after midnight where you are? TeaLover1996 (talk) 22:15, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    @TeaLover1996: Yes it is, a quarter past midnight. QED237 (talk) 22:16, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
So when we turn our clocks back in October you will be 2 hours ahead right? TeaLover1996 (talk) 22:17, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No, it is still one hour difference, I turn back my clock one hour also. That is DST, almost everyone turn back their clock. QED237 (talk) 22:19, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
When we turn ours back it would be UTC+0 right, the same as utc? TeaLover1996 (talk) 22:22, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    @TeaLover1996: For you yes, I turn from UTC+2 to UTC+1. QED237 (talk) 22:24, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

What country are you from in central europe? If you don't mind TeaLover1996 (talk) 22:26, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Last time I am going to say this, next time I wont respond or remove the message. Here it comes..... Information about me is not important, helping and improving wikipedia is and that is what I will focus on (even more now). QED237 (talk) 22:35, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    Okay sorry, we cool? TeaLover1996 (talk) 22:37, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, we cool. I am just tired about these questions, I dont even see why you want to ask them. As I said yesterday, your focus should be on editing articles. QED237 (talk) 22:41, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay thanks, Im going to take a break soon, if you want to know more look on my user and talk pages if you wish, see you later on tomorrow but until then happy editing TeaLover1996 (talk) 22:45, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, happy editing and have fun. QED237 (talk) 22:50, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    tables for IIHF world championships

left a note on the talk page there but got no responses so I thought I would ask you. The way the standings are presented for group play are incorrect, as it says here "The overall bottom ranked two teams will be relegated to the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division I Group A" and in Statutes and Bylaws section 700, the host is awarded the right to participate. So hypothetically, by the rules, two teams from the same group could be relegated. I don't believe this is a big problem, it may never happen, but it could.18abruce (talk) 00:08, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@18abruce: Okay I will answer at the article talkpage so everyone can see the response. I did not know that and we should definately try and sort it out. QED237 (talk) 09:45, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Just wondering, since Russia can no longer be relegated is the note still relevent.18abruce (talk) 20:09, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@18abruce: I would say no, it can be removed if Russia can no longer finsh in last place. QED237 (talk) 20:33, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Username

Did you want to be called Qed but because there was someone already named it you added the 237 on the end? TeaLover1996 (talk) 01:36, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    @TeaLover1996: I cant remember that, it was a long time ago. QED237 (talk) 09:44, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Signature

If a user is repeatedly not signing their posts is there a place they can be reported or can you only keep warning them about it? TeaLover1996 (talk) 11:38, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaLover1996: You should try and inform them first and if they dont understand keep informing them. I would probably not report to WP:AIV, but if it goes on maybe you could inform admins at WP:ANI but I am not sure. QED237 (talk) 11:04, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Times

When I make an edit in the history does it show the time as my time zone or as UTC? TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:07, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaLover1996: In the page history it is your time. QED237 (talk) 11:10, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    References in Articles

I looked in one of your talk page archives and you made a fair point when responding to a users question, you said that if an editor adds content to an article it is their responsibility to add a source to it, and that you cant go round looking for references to other users edits, also did you mean you cant as in it is against a Wikipedia policy or as it in it would be impossible for you to do so as it would be to hard? Like I said great point :) TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:17, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I meant that it would take me to much time and power to look for sources. That time is better spent here on wikipedia, than looking for a source for a article. QED237 (talk) 11:19, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It would be impossible for any editor even the most experienced of editors to look for sources for other users editors, plus why should they, if an editor adds or changes content in an article then it is surely their responsibility to add sources to back it up? TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:25, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    Yes it is. QED237 (talk) 11:26, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Shirak

From looking at the Armenian league table, it looks as if they have qualified as they cannot finish worse than fourth. Double-check if you think I am wrong. I won't edit the Europa League page again in case I am wrong. Thanks. Equineducklings (talk) 18:05, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Equineducklings: We dont add teams until they have actually qualified for EL by winning a domestic cup, or if they have qualified based on league position (and can not reach champions league). We did not add Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern Munchen and so on when they were assured of at least europa league because they never really qualified. Otherwise we would have to add every Champions League team also while they are in EL spots, before going to CL. QED237 (talk) 18:11, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That makes sense. As long as I have been editing, it is odd that I have not noticed that before. Equineducklings (talk) 18:15, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

2015 IIHF World Championship - CEZ arena

Hello, there is wrong information about the capacity of CEZ Arena in Ostrava. The normal capacity is really 10.004 but for the IIHF world championship it was reduced just on the number 8.812 seats. In the news or even in the arena during the game you can get the information that there are 8.812 visitors and it is sold out. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.13.14.134 (talk) 13:29, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Do you have any source for that? I cant find anything. QED237 (talk) 15:13, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Leagues & Divisons

You know that teams like Bournemouth and Watford have been promoted, so I was wondering when should there articles be edited to say exactly that? TeaLover1996 (talk) 03:01, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    When season is over. QED237 (talk) 10:57, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Does that count for relegated teams as well? TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:57, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the season must have ended. I would have waited until all teams in that league are finished (including playoffs) but I know some editors dont wait for playoffs. But season should have ended first (if you are talking about infobox update). QED237 (talk) 12:07, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
If it is the prose saying they have been promoted or relegated it can be said before if there are a reliable source. QED237 (talk) 12:08, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Interview request

Hi, would you be interested in answering a few questions about your efforts in maintaining the Wikipedia football pages for a football magazine? If interested please contact me and I'll look forward to providing more info. Thanks! Nothingnet (talk) 15:59, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    @Nothingnet: I must kindly decline your offer, I am not interested. QED237 (talk) 16:03, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Qed237: OK, thanks for your time. Nothingnet (talk) 16:09, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you remember, at the World Cup, there was a banner at the top of the editing screen to tell people not to update live scores. Could we get one of them for Memphis Depay because the message isn't going through to some people that he is still at PSV. '''tAD''' (talk) 16:04, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@The Almightey Drill: Yes I remember, I created that banner =). The problem with an WP:EDITNOTICE is that it can only be added by template editors and administrators but if there is interest we can request one to be added. I think we should take it to the article talkpage first and if no editor opposes we can create one (I can do the work). We can also go to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football and see if there is interest to create a template (like Template:Livescores editnotice) that can be used on many similar articles and not only Depay. QED237 (talk) 17:24, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, this is always the most disruptive part of the football editors' year, ranging from disruption by thinking a transfer has concluded, to blatant vandalism. I can remember having to revert people thinking Stefan De Vrij had joined Manchester United AFTER he had joined Lazio! Best wishes '''tAD''' (talk) 17:44, 8 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Survey

Just some questions about your time here on Wikipedia, you don't have to answer them if you don't want to just reply that you don't want to.

    • How long have you been on Wikipedia?
    • How many hours do you spend a day on Wikipedia?
    • Do you have a preference on what articles you particularly like to edit
    • Do you hope to be on Wikipedia for many years to come?

    Thanks again :) TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:51, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not my favourite topic, I like to edit more than talk about myself as that dont help wikipedia but I can gice you a few answers.
    • Cant remember, 1.5-2 years maybe
    • Too many
    • Sports
    • Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I have to cut down my hours.
    Thats enough info. QED237 (talk) 12:04, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I hope to be here for a long time too. Good times TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:11, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Okay, have fun QED237 (talk) 12:17, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Sport

You say you are a football fan from northern europe any particular team you support? TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:28, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Yes, Gunners. QED237 (talk) 12:29, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I support Manchester United, and also Middlesbrough as I live in Middlesbrough :) TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:30, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, good luck in battle for fourth. QED237 (talk) 12:38, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Same to you for the top four, hopefully Boro can make the play-off final and get promoted, wait and see I say TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:40, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, we can only wait and see. QED237 (talk) 12:43, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    @Qed237: Think Arsenal win on Monday then? TeaLover1996 (talk) 14:42, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

We dont need a new section every time, this is same topic as discussion a few sections above and as said before this is not a forum, I try limit my discussions to improving wikipedia. And yes, I think they will win monday. QED237 (talk) 15:02, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Can Man Utd win today you think? TeaLover1996 (talk) 15:31, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    I have no idea. QED237 (talk) 15:38, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
And please as said before, talkpages are not a forum, it is for discussions about wikipedia. All we do now is fill up both the talkpage and edit history with "rubbish" that has no place on wikipedia. There are other places to discuss your favourite team. QED237 (talk) 15:41, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Good Luck for the game tomorrow TeaLover1996 (talk) 19:13, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    Thank you. QED237 (talk) 19:16, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Do you want this on your userpage? TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:51, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Not now, maybe later, I am pretty busy with more important things. Can look later. QED237 (talk) 20:54, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Maintenance

Does it annoy you sometimes when rather than improve an article they place maintenance tags on it? TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:45, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not at all, I place a lot of maintenance tags myself. Sometimes you have to add a source tag if you can not find source it yourself (for something someone else added). QED237 (talk) 12:47, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Qed237:, I know about that just surely a tag should only be if they cant find anything at all? TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:49, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
A tag should be added if something needs improving. You might see something but not have time to fix it yourself. QED237 (talk) 12:54, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
True you cant fault someone for not having the time to fix something, they are not required to do it, Wikipedia is only voluntary after all TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:57, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
So true, we are all volunters. QED237 (talk) 13:05, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

List of European Cup and UEFA Champions League top scorers

hello for Robert Lewandowski a 22 goals and 38 apps in this article hae have a 39 apps - thats is wrong he have 38 apps you can check that in his website and in his page in the wikipedia [1] his first game in the champions league with Borussia Dortmund in 2011-2012 2011-2012 6 games (Borussia Dortmund) 2012-2013 13 games (Borussia Dortmund) 2013-2014 8 games (Borussia Dortmund) 2014-2015 11 games (Bayern Munich)

    38 games

thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ibrahim89badran (talkcontribs) 13:15, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Ibrahim89badran: Wikipedia can not be used as source and the source at that article says 39 matches and we follow the source used for the table. QED237 (talk) 14:07, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
See here and you can see that UEFA also say 39 matches. QED237 (talk) 14:10, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Times

How did you get your signature to display your local time when you type (~~~~) as mine displays the time 1 hour behind what it is where I am? 14:01, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

The timestamp should show UTC and not local time, my timestamp does not show my time either. QED237 (talk) 14:05, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I tried in my preferences but it still shows it one hour behind when i type four tildes TeaLover1996 (talk) 14:11, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
As I said, timestamps are in UTC and NOT your local time, it differs to hours for me. QED237 (talk) 14:14, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It finally worked, now when I type four tildes, my custom signature now shows, the teahouse is great TeaLover1996 (talk) 14:15, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Great! Yes the teahouse can be usefull. QED237 (talk) 14:17, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Either my answers come from you or the Teahouse, you're both so helpful TeaLover1996 (talk) 14:33, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    Okay, thanks. QED237 (talk) 14:33, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    The Wikipedia Teahouse

    Any advice on becoming a teahouse host? TeaLover1996 (talk) 16:21, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No, I have never even been to the teahouse. QED237 (talk) 16:25, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

It appears I am a Teahouse Host now hopefully I can learn new things TeaLover1996 (talk) 19:06, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Okay good for you, but I have to remind you to not create a new section everytime you write something. It is possible to continue same discussion so I dont get 1000 sections with oneliners on my talkpage. QED237 (talk) 19:20, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay sorry, I'll keep in mind for next time, also do you mean to do it even when dicussing a different subject? TeaLover1996 (talk) 19:21, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No, if it is a new subject it is good to have a new header, but this time it was two headers in a row about teahouse and earlier I probably have 3 headers about time. QED237 (talk) 19:29, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Online & Offline

There was a template named {{Statustop|Online}} or {{Statustop|Offline}} do you know what has happened as I found it useful? TeaLover1996 (talk) 21:09, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

No idea, I cant see that anything has happened to it. QED237 (talk) 21:11, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
It works now, you have to create a subpage, yours would be User:Qed237/Status and place the template there for it to work, then use the template on the user and talk page with its usual parameters e.g. {{Statustop|Online}}, well it works for me now, so you may come across it when looking at my user or talk page TeaLover1996 (talk) 19:25, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay I am glad it worked itself out. QED237 (talk) 19:27, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Do you use it or used it before, I guess probably not, because as you said in a previous question you are on Wikipedia in short but frequent amounts of time so you would have to keep changing the parameter to say whether you were online or offline, and I don't think you would have the time, when you would rather be editing articles TeaLover1996 (talk) 19:30, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
No I dont use it, would just forget to update it and I dont see any use for it, I write on talkpage if I need it, not if they are online or not. QED237 (talk) 19:32, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Oldstone Jones' template

     Done. GiantSnowman 23:11, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    @GiantSnowman: Thanks. QED237 (talk) 23:13, 9 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Thanks again TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:19, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: No problem. You dont have to thank me every time. QED237 (talk) 13:21, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Should I just use the thank link in the view history tab? TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:28, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
If you want to that is a good idea. I have used that many times. QED237 (talk) 13:34, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    WP:EDITNOTICE

Do you use or will you ever use an edit notice for your user and talk page? TeaLover1996 (talk) 19:56, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Should never say never but I can not see me using it any time soon. QED237 (talk) 20:04, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I find it works, I like it and personally I believe you may enjoy it too, isnt it a bit like the edit intros like the template blp intro that appears when editing BLP articles? TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:07, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I have created and worked with editnotices for articles, I just dont see them useful for the user namespace. QED237 (talk) 20:09, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Pending Changes Reviewing

Do you know who looks at applications for pending changes reviewer rights? TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:20, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Administrators and sysop's I believe. QED237 (talk) 20:26, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
How long does it take for Admins to take a look at an individual users application? TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:27, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That can differ from time to time depending on how much they have to do. No rush with those things. QED237 (talk) 20:29, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You don't seem to use the ping template anymore, I'm having to keep an eye on my watchlist to check for changes so that I know you have probably replied TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:31, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: Well, look at the talkpage, it is full of messages from you so you always find your why back. I save a few key strokes everytime. I have better things to do than discuss every detail so I save as much time as possible, but if you want me to ping, I can ping. QED237 (talk) 20:38, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You don't have to if you don't want to just saying it would be easier for me to know you had replied just do what your comfortable with TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:41, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. By the way, if I may sound a bit hard, might I ask why you are asking about pending changes when you seem to discuss far more than actually edit? I mean no harm, but if I were you I would just focus a bit more on editing articles. QED237 (talk) 20:45, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: Forgot to ping. Of course, you can do what you want but as a wikipedian, the main focus should be on editing articles. QED237 (talk) 20:47, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I probably focus more on editing good advice TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:48, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    No problem QED237 (talk) 20:49, 10 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaLover1996: Okay congratulations, I added a template {{Reviewer topicon}} on the top of my userpage and talkpage. I dont know how much help I can be, best is to read the guidelines, but if you have questions I can try and answer when I have the time. QED237 (talk) 12:20, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Soununo: You have to update timestamps saying when stats are updated and correct. After your edit is said "as of 18 April" which is not true. QED237 (talk) 16:40, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Thanks

Hey, thanks for [2] this edit - I wasn't aware of these guidelines! It's been a while since I was a regular editor. Thanks for informing me. -- Bydand 20:50, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Bydand: No problem, there was some issues with live updates so it was decided we should not live update. QED237 (talk) 20:53, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Buffon appearances

    Hi,

Thanks for your greetings. Ive been using Wikipedia for nearly 8 years, but I've just started to contribute as a member. Ive edited few links on wikipedia few days ago. Buffon marks 530 appearances for Juve a week ago, this link shows that he passed 500 last year. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2811066/Gianluigi-Buffon-set-make-500th-Serie-appearance-Juventus-against-Genoa.html

Same thing in regards to Marchisio, in the last game with Juve, our President gave him special remarks due to 300 appearances for Juve.

but maybe you have your own reason why :)

cheers — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sugit db (talkcontribs) 21:06, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Sugit db: Infoboxes are only league matches and I just followed the numbers in career stats section as infobox serves as summary for article. QED237 (talk) 21:53, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Changes to Aaron Ramsey

Hey, I've been making changes to the appearances due to the fact that Aaron Ramsey played a game tonight against Swansea. Thanks for the heads up though. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Daryoushz (talkcontribs)

@Daryoushz: I know, I watched the game. But timestamps has to be updated so readers now when the stats has been updated. QED237 (talk) 23:13, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Oh ok thank you very much, glad you told me. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Daryoushz (talkcontribs) 23:30, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Date format in football box template on FA Cup article

    Hi

You recently reverted a change I made to the date format. I was testing out the changes I made to template:football box collapsible. It looks like a success. At the moment, the 2014-15 FA Cup article is showing errors at https://developers.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/. My personal preference is for the dates to be in the template:start date template because it has hidden text which puts the date in the requested format for microformats and doesn't display errors. The 2015 Copa América article validates ok and it displays like this on search results: http://i.imgur.com/mvnkhu1.png.

The 2013-14 FA Cup had a problem where someone had added closing bold html tags to the next to losing team and it ended up upsetting the changes I made to the template. Hopefully, it's the last time we see that issue.TheBigJagielka (talk) 13:53, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TheBigJagielka: Hmm, okay. I have never heard about microformats before so I have never used start date-template before and not seen any use for it. And I am still having problem to understand what is good with mikroformats. I am glad it worked out with the FA Cup article and the bolding. QED237 (talk) 14:54, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

All time appearances in European Cup and UEFA Champions League -

heloo i add to this article All time appearances in European Cup and UEFA Champions League including qualification rounds - i add a good table - its perfect , pls dont erase it :) thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ibrahim89badran (talkcontribs)

@Ibrahim89badran: It is not a good table and I will keep removing it. The qualification rounds are not a part of the main tournament, hence the word "qualifying". If you dont agree take it to article talkpage for consensus. QED237 (talk) 16:39, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Template / AFD

I've deleted the template as a test, no idea what it was for and it never looks to have even been used. Regarding the AFDs and Turkish articles, I've commented on the AFDs and suggest you list the Turkish articles at AFD as well. GiantSnowman 07:57, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@GiantSnowman: Okay thanks, I will take them to AfD soon. I just need to find a good motivation/reason. QED237 (talk) 12:16, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Editor at Benzema and Giroud

Have you reported that user, Im thinking about it TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:17, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've had to revert another edit he/she made if you want to look it is here (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Karim_Benzema&type=revision&diff=662143472&oldid=662143169), Needs reporting I think TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:21, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: No I have not. I gave him information about infoboxes first and will see if he continues. I will not report if he does not have a final warning. We should always try and inform first so lets see if he understands the message, he might not have seen it until he edited now. QED237 (talk) 12:22, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: Also the source is no big issue, the career stats section works as source since infobox is a summary of the article, wrong numbers (it should be only league matches) and failing to update the timestamp are bigger issues. QED237 (talk) 12:24, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You said something about disruptive editing? Is it disruptive him/her repeatedly changing content without sources?TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:25, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: It is disruptive to do same edit over and over again without discussion. Now I have given him proper information so lets see if he continues. Discussion is always the first solution. QED237 (talk) 12:30, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
He has done exactly the same thing at Olivier Giroud, clearly not learned from before TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:35, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: Stop talking about source, that is not an issue at all, he may be confused about your incorrect edit summary. QED237 (talk) 12:42, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaLover1996: please consider what warning-template to use. There is no real issue with source as career stats-section serves as source for the infobox numbers. QED237 (talk) 12:48, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Displaytitle

Do you how to use the {{DISPLAYTITLE}}, template ive looked at the help page about it but Im still puzzled TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:44, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaLover1996: Not in the back of my head and dont have time to look now. QED237 (talk) 12:47, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Qed237:, Probably later on when you do have time I guess? TeaLover1996 (talk) 12:49, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: What you can see in this diff worked at my talkpage when I tried a few weeks ago. Use that as a start and modify to your own. If you need help maybe I can look at yours later. QED237 (talk) 12:57, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I copy and pasted what you put into my userpage and yet it didn't work, I'd appreciate you looking at it when you can. TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:03, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: The latest attempt did not work as you used my name, it must be the correct pagename for it to work. I made your header work and look like your signature, hopefully that is okay. I will put comment around it for you to add when you want if you want. If you have more questions feel free to ask. QED237 (talk) 14:29, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    @TeaLover1996: Is it working now? QED237 (talk) 20:22, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, Thanks very much, also I don't know if you noticed your message to another user and the one I put at the bottom were a small font, because a bot forgot to add the </small> at the end of the content that was added TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:29, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: Okay great. No I had not noticed that so thank you for fixing it. QED237 (talk) 20:33, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Whether it was a typo by the bot or someone removed either by accident or deliberately, you'd need to check the view history tab to know for sure TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:36, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    It was user error. QED237 (talk) 20:40, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The user who forgot to sign? TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:45, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
The user copied an old bot-signature but forgot to copy everything. QED237 (talk) 20:49, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Why would a user do that? Strange TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:53, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not strange at all, he probably did not know how to sign posts. A new editor. QED237 (talk) 21:01, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I made a lot of effort changing The Morecambe FC wikipedia page last night and for some reason you changed it back? All information added was factual and relevent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ChristiesShrimp (talkcontribs) 16:13, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@ChristiesShrimp: I am sorry I had to undo your work, I know from experience it is not fun to have your work removed. However it was unsourced so I had to undo it, wikipedia relies on sources. Please use a source next time. If you have any questions I am happy to help. QED237 (talk) 16:45, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    FC Akzhayik and FC Vostok

Hello, please give me a detailed answer why you have made reverted my edits?what I'm wrong?please also name any sources you think is right and reliable? with a respect — Preceding unsigned comment added by Andaarus (talkcontribs) 17:23, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Andaarus: There are many reliable sources on the web but not Wikipedia itself and transfermarkt as they are user edited. As I said on your talkpage, list of squad (players) should be ordered by number (no matter what order source has). Player no.1 first, after that player with shirt no. 2, then player with number 3 and so on. Order by number. QED237 (talk) 17:30, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

all I understood the numbers in order, thank you!— Preceding unsigned comment added by Andaarus (talkcontribs) — Preceding undated comment added 17:44, 13 May 2015 (UTC) [reply]

    Protection

Would you prefer Semi Protection or Pending Changes on an article in your opinion? TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:10, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaLover1996: That depends on the article and how much edits there are. Often semi-protection can be better if there is a high edit-load. QED237 (talk) 20:21, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Do you find it annoying sometimes when your reviewing an edit on a article that has pending changes protection and it is the same edit repeatedly and you have to keep reverting it? TeaLover1996 (talk) 13:05, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    ??

    What happened there then TeaLover1996 (talk) 21:16, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    What are you talking about? QED237 (talk) 21:18, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    Reverting my edit TeaLover1996 (talk) 21:19, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mean the edit that was completely copied from an other talkpage with name of the wrong editor? What does editor Aandrusc (spelling?) have do do with the other editor where you added the welcome? You know it is not only to copy'n'paste right? How do you add the templates? Twinkle? QED237 (talk) 21:21, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I forgot to change the username and yes it was copied, just forgot to change it then it would have been fine TeaLover1996 (talk) 21:22, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I always try to not copy'n'paste, it makes for easy mistakes. QED237 (talk) 21:28, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Was my edit reverted as I didn't change the username, or would you have reverted it otherwise? TeaLover1996 (talk) 21:29, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: I saw it was incorrect, just like some earlier warnings you have given to editors when they have not edited since last warning, so I removed it as incorrect. With the right name it would have stayed. Also note that when warning editors you should mention the article so administrators can know what they were warned for. QED237 (talk) 21:33, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the info, what would I do without your help? TeaLover1996 (talk) 21:35, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe a lot better, there are probably someone better than me at explaining. QED237 (talk) 21:36, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    You don't mind me asking do you? TeaLover1996 (talk) 21:43, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaLover1996: No of cource not, you are more than welcome to ask questions. It is just that sometimes it gets more like a forum and sometimes I need more time editing instead, but if you want to ask questions please do. Maybe I wont be so fast to answer though if I dont have much time (will be busy next few days). QED237 (talk) 21:46, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, also here is a button if you want it for something, I've set it to direct to your talk page if you want to use it for that or change the link if you want to, or not use it whatever you choose, . Regards TeaLover1996 (talk) 21:50, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    Okay thanks. QED237 (talk) 21:51, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You may notice if you click it, it wont work, its just like a piped link (I gather you probably already know), it wont work if the page it directs to it is on. TeaLover1996 (talk) 21:53, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I guessed it would be something like that. QED237 (talk) 22:02, 13 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I removed your edit at Calum Chambers because it was not sourced and we should not have unsourced info at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons. Also if you find a source that part is more appropriate in a "personal info" section and not in the lead. QED237 (talk) 14:02, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry but dont you think I know how to check pending changes? I am a pending changes reviewer. You should really take care of your own editing instead of making RfA-requests, making buttons, displaytitle, giving me links and so on. It seems like you do everything you can but regular edits. QED237 (talk) 22:00, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    Only saying sorry if I upset you TeaLover1996 (talk) 22:02, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: No problem, I am just a little bit in chock. Suddenly I see I have been nominated as an admin without my knowledge and that you also nominated yourself when (in my opinion) you are not near being ready. As an admin you should know a lot and you must ask about every single thing and have not even been pending changes reviewer more than a day and has already gotten user warnings. As I have said before several times, focus on editing articles (and if you need help/advise ask for help). QED237 (talk) 22:24, 14 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Qed237: Does pending changes mean when a new or unregistered user makes an edit the changes aren't public until they are accepted by a reviewer? TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:03, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaLover1996: I made an accident, I had a small "L" in so I did not ping you because it was wrong name. Qed237 (talk) 20:18, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    UEFA Coefficient

Yeah, sorry, I unpurposely screwed up colors when changing the order. Thank you for fixing it, I will be more careful in the future. Maticsg1 (talk) 03:13, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Maticsg1: No problem, just be careful. And dont forget to update both dates above table (accessdate and the date in the text). I know you mean well and you are a good editor so keep up the good work. QED237 (talk) 10:17, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    RFA

Tealover does not need to transcluse their RFA until they are ready, they can work on it before 'releasing' it to community discussion. GiantSnowman 07:13, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@GiantSnowman: Okay, thank you for explaining. I got some help from an other admin who was active at the time yesterday, but thanks for your help and for the explanation. QED237 (talk) 10:15, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Moldova and 2015-16 Europa League

Honestly I don't know more about the tie-breaking situation than what you have already stated. The suggestions I have is to search for information from 1) news articles; 2) webpages (or facebook, twitter) from the league and/or clubs. It is likely that there should be some reports in the coming days about which teams can still win the league in the final round, so we should be able to know for sure whether Sheriff are out of contention for the title or not. Chanheigeorge (talk) 17:24, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

According to Moldovan League regulations for 2014-15, if the first two teams have the same number of points, they play an extra match to determine the champion. If there are 3 or more teams tied on the top, it is decided by a) points gained on matches between those teams b) goal difference etc. If two or more teams are tied it is decided by a) points gained on matches between those teams b) goal difference etc.. I hope I helped. Source: [3] Maticsg1 (talk) 18:32, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Chanheigeorge and Maticsg1: My moldova language skill is not so good (non-existent), but I translated this article from sheriff official page with google translate and the article about todays match end "...but ultimately loses the chance of the title, as "Dacia" and " Milsami "won their games, which were held in parallel. In the next round the two teams will play in person meeting between a title." and earlier also it states "but still have to lay down their championship credentials.". User:Maticsg1, do you understand moldovan, is this correct that they are not able to be first in league? In my math the would lose a 3way-tie which is the only way they can get same points as Dacia (because they meet Milsami also 3pts behind Dacia). QED237 (talk) 22:55, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Opinion

Thanks for giving your opinion on MAA, and also for helping me to edit Wikipedia. TeaLover1996 (talk) 23:05, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaLover1996: No problem, just let me know if you need more help. What is MAA? QED237 (talk) 23:10, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
My Admin Application, or you could say Administrator. TeaLover1996 (talk) 23:12, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    @TeaLover1996: Okay I understand, thanks for the explanation. QED237 (talk) 23:14, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Do you mean I can ask any questions if I need help? TeaLover1996 (talk) 23:17, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: Yes you can, and as long as it is about editing I will try and answer them as good as possible. QED237 (talk) 23:22, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Does it have to be specifically about editing, as long as it involves Wikipedia? TeaLover1996 (talk) 23:23, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@TeaLover1996: You can always ask anything you want, but I may not respond if i feel it is personal or question about how i feel about certain things. But in general I will answer wikipedia-related questions. QED237 (talk) 23:49, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Question

Regarding [4] this edit (you informed me before of no live updates), how come the goals can't be updated or records? I understand the score as it may change, but the goals? And it's widely cited as being the fastest hat trick. Could you link me to these guidelines? -- Bydand 13:04, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The match could be suspended and aborted and then no goals officially count. Nothing is official until the final whistle is blown. QED237 (talk) 13:52, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker @Bydand: Also the goal scorer might change, making it incorrect. For example, if it's a deflected goal, they often get awarded to the striker, and then changed to an own goal very quickly. Also, WP:NOTNEWS. Joseph2302 (talk) 13:55, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    @Joseph2302: @Qed237: Thanks :) -- Bydand 21:22, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Reverts and Undoing

What is the difference between reverting an edit and undoing it or are they both the same? TeaLover1996 (talk) 15:54, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaLover1996: It is the same, the only difference is that with revert-button you can revert several edits at once, but it is the same. WP:REVERT states "The typical way to effect a reversion is to use the "undo" button in the article's history page, but it isn't any less of a reversion if one simply types in the previous text.". QED237 (talk) 15:58, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    Ok cheers TeaLover1996 (talk) 16:01, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Did you click [Restore this version] to revert edits by different users on the same article? TeaLover1996 (talk) 17:56, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Nt sure what article you mean (and does not matter), but I have done that sevaral times yes. QED237 (talk) 20:16, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    I thought you might have TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:19, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    Rollback Feature

Do you have any information on the rollback feature plus is it like reverting? TeaLover1996 (talk) 20:59, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaLover1996: Read Wikipedia:Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback policy and yes it is same as reverting. Qed237 (talk) 21:06, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    You changed your signature? TeaLover1996 (talk) 21:07, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    @TeaLover1996: Yes, made E and D small to match my username. Qed237 (talk) 21:10, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I think it looks slightly better and clearer to read what do you think? TeaLover1996 (talk) 21:11, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    I guess thats true. Qed237 (talk) 21:13, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Do you think I have enough experience to get rollback rights or do I need more time? TeaLover1996 (talk) 21:18, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
That is very hard to say for me, I dont know. You did get a warning for not assuming good faith when reverting not long ago but you have already been reverting so I am not sure. Qed237 (talk) 21:35, 16 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

    MOS:No Live Updates

Are live updates not allowed not just because of a manual of style at snooker but also because Wikipedia is not a newspaper? TeaLover1996 (talk) 14:15, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@TeaLover1996: No live updates is based on consensus at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football and that consensus is motivated by wikipedia not being a newspaper, the Snooker MOS and other reasons. But the basic thing is the consensus. Qed237 (talk) 14:27, 17 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
