Crown Dependencies; and suggested exclusion of Hong Kong

Hong Kong has not been a British Crown Colony (a Colony of the British Crown) or a part of the Commonwealth of Nations since the 1st. July 1997, some EIGHTEEN years ago, and has in fact never been either in the Commonwealth in its own right as a member, or even been one of the named British Overseas Territories according to the enacting legislation introducing such a term, that is, the British Overseas Territories Act 2002, Chapter 8. The justification for making a special exception just for Hong Kong (but leaving out native-English-speaking Commonwealth realms and other parts of the Commonwealth) is increasing peculiar and questionable. I would suggest that Hong Kong be taken off from this WikiProject. It has probably been hijacked by Hongkong Chinese editors for purely political reasons (probably those who want Chinese sovereignty in and Chinese rule of Hong Kong to end). Also I would suggest that this WikiProject be renamed, since I would think that it would not be wise to give a false impression that the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey were British Overseas Territories (responsible Government department: FCO), when they are not, but instead they are British Crown Dependencies (responsible Government department: Ministry of Justice). -- 5.198.6.211 (talk) 18:09, 21 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
