I had heard somewhere that Bilfinger Berger were demanding an extra $x million (80 maybe?) to complete the Edinburgh Trams, which just happened to be the same amount of money they had lost on another project elsewhere. Does anyone else know about this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.83.102.216 (talk) 18:08, 7 June 2010 (UTC)
General review
Hi, I am working for Bilfinger Berger and have taken the time to update the entry and expand the existing stub. Added further information on the company's history, the shares and reference projects. Updated the business segment structure to the new 2010 version. And, in general, adapted some information to the German entry. Amelia210 (talk) 14:20, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry but much of the text you had added was lifted word for word from the Company's website which is breach of copyright. You are free to add text but it should be independently sourced and properly wikified (i.e. linked through to other wiki articles). That said if you work for the Company you probably have a conflict of interest (see WP:COI). I have tried to help by expanding the history section and the major projects section myself where I can find independent sources to support the items you had previously inserted. - That´s fine but there are two points that need to be changed. Firstly the official URL is no longer www.bilfingerberger.com, the new address is www.bilfinger.com. Secondly, in recent years the company has shifted its focus toward the services business, greatly expanding activities in this area with 49% of the output volume in 2009 being services projects. So I think that changes need to be made to the introductory paragraph, the information box and the history sections to add this information Amelia210 (talk) 13:17, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
- Agreed. I have tweaked your references for you Dormskirk (talk) 20:49, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi there, I'm also working for Bilfinger and would like to ask if someone could be so kind and update the key figures in the infobox (revenue, operating income, profit, assets, equity, employees) with the latest ones from 2013: http://www.bilfinger.com/en/investor-relations/annual-report/umschlag/key-figures/ Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by JennHeib (talk • contribs) 13:24, 25 June 2014 (UTC)

Article name
I note that the article has been moved from Bilfinger to Bilfinger SE. Please note that we do not use 'SE', 'inc', 'plc' etc on wikipedia (please see WP:NCCORP). In any case page moves should not take place without discussion. Thanks for your understanding. Dormskirk (talk) 21:21, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Dormskirk: please see WP:NCCORP. Eldizzino (talk) 21:30, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
- Per WP:NCCORP the legal status suffix of a company (such as Inc., plc, LLC, and those in other languages such as GmbH, AG, and S.A.) is not normally included in the article title. Also you really do need to discuss moves before making them. As already mentioned on your talk page, if you wish to have the article moved, you should use the WP:RM process. Dormskirk (talk) 21:35, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Dormskirk: please see WP:NCCORP again and read it. Eldizzino (talk) 22:12, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
- I have read it many times. It is quite clear. Dormskirk (talk) 22:14, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Dormskirk: I agree, it is quite clear. So, what is your problem? My version contains more than only one sentence in the section "Article title". Eldizzino (talk) 22:16, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
- I do not understand the point you are making at all. The point is that we do not use the legal status suffix of a company (such as Inc., plc, LLC, and those in other languages such as GmbH, AG, and S.A.). Also I note that you have deleted my request for an administrator to move the article back - you are clearly engaged in edit warring. Dormskirk (talk) 22:21, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Dormskirk: You
vandalizedremoved all content from the disambiguation page. Eldizzino (talk) 22:29, 12 July 2015 (UTC)- I have now seen the sentence you have put in bold at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (companies) and am beginning to see the point you are making. It is extremely unusual to use a disambiguation page to list a company's subsidiaries: you would normally do this in the article itself. Now can we please move the article back to where it should be? Dormskirk (talk) 23:28, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

Asserted to be non-controversial maintenance.
@Dormskirk: The disambiguation page Bilfinger was tagged by you with a request for deletion and "Asserted to be non-controversial maintenance.". This is clearly not true. You also removed all content. Please refrain. Eldizzino (talk) 22:32, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
- I merely started the process to move the page back. Meanwhile you have now breached WP:NCCORP, WP:RM, and also WP:EW. Dormskirk (talk) 22:37, 12 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Dormskirk: You are stating the untrue. Eldizzino (talk) 22:49, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

Bilfinger SE → Bilfinger – The company is generally known as "Bilfinger". WP:NCCORP states that "the legal status suffix of a company (such as Inc., plc, LLC, and those in other languages such as GmbH, AG, and S.A.) is not normally included in the article title (for example, Microsoft Corporation, Nestlé S.A., Aflac Incorporated, and Deutsche Post AG)." There is no need for disambiguation because the only links remaining on the disambiguation page (after removing some redlinks and a few subsidiaries) are (i) the link to the company in question and (ii) a link to a person (Georg Bernhard Bilfinger) who is naturally disambiguated. Dormskirk (talk) 22:07, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
- Support per nom. There is no need for unnecessary disambiguation. Sovereign Sentinel (talk) 04:29, 16 July 2015 (UTC)
- Support. No need for the two-way DAB, and the company appears to be the primary topic. 1.129.96.74 (talk) 11:14, 23 July 2015 (UTC)
