I have been accepted as admin. Thanks to everyone who voted for me, and to those of you who didn't but provided helpful and constructive criticism. Nandesuka 11:23, 16 September 2005 (UTC)

Statement of Purpose

This is my user page. There are many others like it, but this one is mine.

I prefer to be known by the contributions I make to wikipedia rather than by "who I am", so check my contributions page if you'd like to know more about me.

I am most interested in substantive edits, followed closely by proper grammar and readability. I also try to protect pages from vandalism or POV pushing when I notice it occurring. I've been doing a little more with CfD and recategorizing articles lately, to my surprise — I didn't think I would find it all that interesting, but it leads me into strange discoveries about articles that I'm interested in.

I'm pretty proud of my record (I'm particularly pleased with my ongoing rewrite of Premature birth), and that I've introduced a number of articles about obscure but seminal videogames into Wikipedia.

Articles Created

In chronological order by rough category:

Food

Charoset, Teaberry

Misc

Winter's Tale (Helprin), Ductus venosus, Zeiss projector, Susie Tallman, Bard (Dungeons & Dragons)

Computer and Video games

The Summoning (computer game), War Wind, Madness and the Minotaur, Sammy Lightfoot, Sabotage (computer game), Mark Allen (software developer), EduWare, Blast Off, Rolling Thunder (video game), Super Cobra, Space Wars, Targ (video game), Frenzy (video game), Spectar, Synergistic Software, Star Fire, David Rolfe, Centuri

Articles I Edit

These are a selection of some of the articles that I have made more than minor contributions to, and that I watch.

Birth, Bosconian, Brøderbund, Childbirth, Cinematronics, Dungeons & Dragons, Epidural, Exidy, Herring, Hubris, Lung, Myst, Richard Stallman, Coffee

I've worked on many more articles -- these are just some of the ones that come to mind.

Articles I Guard

These are articles that I may not be a major editor on, but which are on my watchlist and that I protect from vandalism. I'm not quite sure how or why these particular articles ended up being flashpoints, or why I've "adopted" them. It just kind of happened.

Ainu people, Burakumin, Harry Potter, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Internet Movie Database, Katie Leung, Marbury v. Madison, Nanking Massacre, Typology

Milestones

I now have over 2,500 edits.

I have also started maintaining a to-do list.

Awards

You are being awarded a laugh point for your recent comments in the Circumcision advocacy AfD. They got a chuckle out of me. → Ξxtreme Unction {yakłblah} 14:22, 6 December 2005 (UTC)
