Redirected

I realize that I posted in the Pollination discussion page but not here, but since this page was seriously affected by my editing (i.e. redirected) I should explain here too.

A partner and I are part of a class project that involved evaluating and suggesting improvements for ecology articles. For Pollination we thought the article would be more effective with an expanded structure (and some additional information) Here's our proposed structure:

  • Mechanics
  • Evolution
  • Pollinators
  • Agriculture
  • Environmental Impact
  • Other Pollination Facts (perhaps a Gallery)

Ideally for our purposes we won't be including too much new info, but to give a good support for the current info and future edits. We're also thought that the Pollinator page should be redirected to Pollination because there's a lot of redundant information between the two articles.

Anyway, we're going to be editing over the next week, so if there are comments or objections, it would be easiest if they were posted over the next few days. I hope we're not stepping on any toes here.Sclemm (talk) 12:40, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, so if the redirection is a poor idea, someone object here now - because I did wait several days over on Talk:Pollination and got no objections (I do apologize for forgetting to post here as well). I just don't see that there is enough unique information in this article to justify it being separate from Pollination.128.227.13.230 (talk) 19:14, 27 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The two pages should be merged, but we need to follow the proscribed procedures.
Other than posting here and getting some consensus, what procedures are there?Sclemm (talk) 12:01, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I vote for a merger, because much of the content is duplicated, I have more info to add but could not decide which page to add it to, without putting it on both pages. Hardyplants (talk) 05:56, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Pollinator. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.
