There seems to be no documentary evidence that Maldred of Carlisle was related to Crinan of Dunkeld and certainly not to his wife, Bethoc. What exists is more of a genealogical legend which has been perpetuated by people who do not want their family tree's to have dead ends. If anyone has a document that associates Maldred with Crinan, such as witnessing a royal charter, or giving to a Monastery of founding a Priory, let's see it.DocSpenser (talk) 03:20, 11 August 2015 (UTC)
Washington
The Ancestry of George Washington page lists Crínán as a direct ancestor of the first American President. Does this bear mention here? PurpleChez (talk) 19:43, 29 July 2016 (UTC)
Not really. He's the ancestor of everyone of European descent
