Vandal-tagging

Thanks for helping clean up from vandals on various articles, and tracking the vandal accounts themselves! However, you don't have the ability to ban or block editors, and placing block/ban tags on editors that aren't is confusing to everyone else. You can report vandals to WP:AIV for administrative action. DMacks (talk) 09:23, 2 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Distributed Annotation System

I'm not sure what is achieved by moving the page to a draft page with a redirect. Rathfelder (talk) 21:29, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed speedy deletion tags and notices you added

Hi. I have removed a few speedy deletion tags and notices you added to some pages. Please note that:

  • For an article to qualify for G1 (nonsense), it must consist entirely of incoherent text or gibberish. G1 does not cover poor writing, obscene remarks, implausible theories, coherently-written text that is vandalism or a hoax, fictional material, coherently-written non-English material, or poorly translated material.
  • For an article to qualify for A3 (no content), it must either be blank, consist of only a repeat or rephrasing of the title, reflist, see also section or category tags etc. It does not cover stubs which provide sufficient context to identify their subjects.
  • Speedy deletion notification notices must only be placed on the user talk pages of creators or substantial contributors, not WikiProject talk pages or any other pages.

Thank you. Linguist111 22:37, 8 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notification

Why did you notify me about the deletion of an article which I've never edited? ―Justin (koavf)TCM 02:05, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:David Vialls.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. – Train2104 (t • c) 22:33, 20 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on William Perkin Church of England High School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
