David Biespiel is one of his generation's most inventive poets.

This reads a little too much like David wrote it himself and is using it as his resume. For example, do we really need to know the names of everyone who contributes to Politico's "The Arena?" If David Biespiel will be remembered in fifty years, I'll take all that back, but maybe the article could be trimmed a little until then.
