Speedy Deletion Nathan Shaw

Please remove the speedy deletion of Nathan Shaw. I have provided sufficient references as evidence of his notability. Makro (talk) 10:55, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Response to speedy deletion nomination of Tom Palzewicz

Tom Palzewicz is a candidate running for congress. His campaign has been written about by multiple verifiable, independent sources including major newspapers. Tom Palzewicz does not fall into section A7 of the Speedy Deletion requirements as his claim of notability is that he is a candidate for U.S. Congress and that has been verified using multiple independent references. Austinjkieler (talk) 21:39, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Tom meets the notability criterion for biographies because he has received news coverage from multiple reputable news organizations including Milwaukee's largest newspaper and the Associated Press. Please reconsider your decision, or inform me of how that does not meet the criterion.

Here is the part of section A7 of the Speedy Deletion Criterion that specifically state that a7 does not apply to Tom Palzewicz:

One, search for a statement within the article that attributes noteworthiness to the subject; for example: "John Doe is the State President of the Democratic Party in Tasmania", or "John Doe was the first cricketer to bat left-handed", or "The John Doe recording debuted at #5 on Billboard charts", or "This invention won the National Medal of Technology and Innovation". The existence of such a statement of noteworthiness/importance/significance within the article would generally ensure that the A7, A9 and A11 tags cannot be applied. Such a claim of noteworthiness need not be supported by any reference; the fact that such a claim exists, deems that the A7, A9 and A11 tags cannot be applied (an editor can still opt to PROD the article or take it to AFD if they believe that the article, despite its claim, is not broadly notable and should still be deleted). At the same time, if the claim is evidently false (for example, if initial research confirms that it is Jane Doe and not John Doe who is the State President of the Democratic Party in Tasmania), the article may be tagged for speedy deletion as a hoax, or alternatively prodded. Speedy Deletion Greyson Beights

Hi! I created the page Greyson Beights and it is marked for speedy deletion. What the reasons? I believe it may have been the images which have been since removed. Is the page okay now that the images are gone? Is there anything that I can do to fix the page?

Thank you for your time and consideration. I started doing Wikipedia to write about people and things in my region and look forward to editing and creating more! :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Richgnomielawn (talkcontribs) 21:51, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Review Newsletter No.10

Hello Reddogsix, thank you for your work reviewing New Pages!

ACTRIAL:

  • ACTRIAL's six month experiment restricting new page creation to (auto)confirmed users ended on 14 March. As expected, a greatly increased number of unsuitable articles and candidates for deletion are showing up in the feed again, and the backlog has since increased already by ~30%. Please consider reviewing a few extra articles each day.

Paid editing

  • Now that ACTRIAL is inoperative pending discussion, please be sure to look for tell-tale signs of undisclosed paid editing. Contact the creator if appropriate, and submit the issue to WP:COIN if necessary.

Subject-specific notability guidelines

Nominate competent users for Autopatrolled

  • While patrolling articles, if you find an editor that is particularly competent at creating quality new articles, and that user has created more than 25 articles (rather than stubs), consider nominating them for the 'Autopatrolled' user right HERE.

News

  • The next issue Wikipedia's newspaper The Signpost has now been published after a long delay. There are some articles in it, including ACTRIAL wrap-up that will be of special interest to New Page Reviewers. Don't hesitate to contribute to the comments sections. The Signpost is one of the best ways to stay up date with news and new developments - please consider subscribing to it. All editors of Wikipedia and associated projects are welcome to submit articles on any topic for consideration by the The Signpost's editorial team for the next issue.

About providing resources for the new pages

Hello Reddogsix. As a reference I had provided wikipedia pages but apparently they are not allowed. Can I add IMDB page as a reference? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Painkiller27 (talkcontribs) 16:36, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@User:Painkiller27 - See WP:RS/IMDB. reddogsix (talk) 16:42, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the information. As a first time wiki user I was unaware of these conditions. Can I add link to a YouTube video of the film's trailer which mentions director's name? Thank you for your help. Painkiller27 (talk) 16:55, 31 March 2018 (UTC) Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them (see the help page).[reply]

Hello. I have added enough references from the reliable Indian newspapers as required. Will you please verify so that I can remove the tag? Thank you Painkiller27 (talk) 12:28, 1 April 2018 (UTC) Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them (see the help page).[reply]

Hello! I am new on wikipedia and I created a page for my favorite band No/Hugs. I was not trying to "advertise" them and I actually modelled their page after another band called The Hugs https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Hugs . I followed the same content and properly referenced and cited a lot of sources. Can you please explain to me which content looks like it's advertising them so that I can delete it promptly and not repeat this mistake? :) Thank you! Hikoulini (talk) 04:08, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

QUESTION : I noticed that when i tried to upload one of their photos i found on google+ you marked it down for copyright infrigement. I don't own any of their photos :/ what's the best way to upload a photo for a band if you don't own it? i also don't really know them personally so how can I ask? QUESTION ABOUT IMAGE ON NO/HUGS

Deletion of William cook

Afternoon I am a bit lost as to why i am up for speedy deletion. I have a political party here in Ontario Canada called the ontario alliance, i have founded it and now have taken over as leader again as we move towards an election. I gave ref. For who i am and used our ontario elections websites to confirm the info.

I am attempting to link the ontario alliance with my name William cook. To my own page as i have been active in politics for many years.

Can you re post the article so i can correct the issue as our election here is coming up quickly

Thank you for your help William BGOS 62 (talk) 23:53, 8 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
