I've given the article a detailed peer-review in Talk:Battle of Greece#Informal review. I've also commented on its nomination for A-Class. I think the most important of my remarks is the need for a slight overall copyediting (+other things I've mentioned). I didn't do it. Since you are an American citizen, I believe that your English must be better than mine and you can do this job better than me!

By the way, you already know about the Wikipedia:WikiProject History of Greece and you are of course invited to participate.

Welcome in Wikipedia!--Yannismarou 17:40, 5 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Periklis! I've found a very good source for the Battle of Greece, from the US Army's Center of Military History. I hope it helps. Regards, Cplakidas 11:24, 6 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Periklis* (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

First off, I do not meet the definition of WP:Sockpuppet as I have not supported any of Cretanpride's arguments,.and even if I was Cretanpride, it is not against wiki policy to have more than one account so long as you don't support a cause. Second, I have made productive contributions which have been overlooked.Third, Checkuser actually came back inconclusive because Cretanpride's edits are too old to get an IP from, and editing from the same range doesn't count for much since checkuser is supposed to be specific. Fourth, I will never support any of CP's arguments, and when I do, go ahead and reblock me.

Decline reason:

You were confirmed as a sockpuppet. --WinHunter (talk) 10:33, 1 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Periklis* (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I was confirmed by Mackensen to have a similar IP address. A similar IP address is suspicious but not proof. I also don't meet the definition of a sockpuppet. A sockpuppet account supports an argument or a vote-I haven't done that. It is not against wiki policy to have more than one account as long as you don't support a cause-This alone justifies an unblock. If you also look at my contributions, you will see that I've been productive and gotten along with fellow wikipedians, and turned Battle of Greece from start class to almost FAC and joined three task forces. I think my edits and behaviour, and the fact that I don't meet the definition of a sockpuppet are good enough to let me edit. I will never support CP's line and I don't want to. As I see it, there are three things which could happen: 1) I keep editing, improve articles. 2) I keep editing, support CP’s line and then get blocked. 3) I stay blocked. I don't see what bad can come if you allow me to edit given everything I've posted.

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

{{Unblock on hold |1=blocking administrator |2= I was confirmed by Mackensen to have a similar IP address. A similar IP address is suspicious but not proof. I also don't meet the definition of a sockpuppet. A sockpuppet account supports an argument or a vote-I haven't done that. It is not against wiki policy to have more than one account as long as you don't support a cause-This alone justifies an unblock. If you also look at my contributions, you will see that I've been productive and gotten along with fellow wikipedians, and turned [[Battle of Greece]] from start class to almost FAC and joined three task forces. I think my edits and behaviour, and the fact that I don't meet the definition of a sockpuppet are good enough to let me edit. I will never support CP's line and I don't want to. I don't see what bad can come if you allow me to edit given everything I've posted. |3 = ~~~~}}

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.

{{unblock reviewed |1= I was confirmed by Mackensen to have a similar IP address. A similar IP address is suspicious but not proof. I also don't meet the definition of a sockpuppet. I don't see what bad can come if you allow me to edit given everything I've posted. |decline = {{subst:Decline reason here}} ~~~~}}

If you accept the unblock request, replace this template with the following, substituting Accept reason here with your rationale:
