Kenny Sebastian is based in Bangalore and is a stand-up comedian, musician, director, actor, writer and YouTuber.[1] . Kenneth was also part of a band called Anup and Kenneth.[2] which released songs like Johnny's Gotta New Girl and Sensual.

Before entering the world of stand up comedy, Kenny was a full time Youtuber, uploading parodies and covering popular songs which garnerd him significant following that was until he went on to win the Stand Up Comedy Competition in the college fest Mood Indigo organized by IIT Bombay. The win laid the foundation of his comedy career and he hasn't looked back. He has performed in numerous shows not only in India but all over the world.[3]

In 2014, Kenny collaborated with a bunch of comedians like Kanan Gill. Abish Mathew, and many more to create a one of a kind improvised sketch show which aired at a primetime slot on Comedy Central India.

In 2017, Kenny Sebastian released his one hour stand up comedy special 'Don't Be That Guy'[4] on Amazon Prime Video. Within hours, it trended on Amazon Prime Video. His other standup comedy specials include- Journey to the Center of My Brain (2014)[5], Awenest( 2016) [6], This Side Up

In 2018, he starred in and created a web series called "Die Trying" which follows the struggles of two budding musicians . The show was exclusively released in Amazon Prime. [7]

Biography

Kenny was born in Kottayam, Kerala but he traveled throughout the country as a result of his father being in Navy,[8], before finally settling down in Bengaluru on his father's retirement.[1] The constant travelling enabled him to observe people and understand the nuances of life and express the same in his comedy. He did his schooling in Kendriya Vidyalaya, an experience he constantly recounts in his shows. He has a bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from Chitrakala Parishath.

Die Trying

Die Trying is a 7 episode web series which traces the struggles of two budding musicians filled with confidence that one day they will make it. Kenny took inspiration from his own experience with his first album being not being appreciated.[12] He is creator of the show and plays himself.
