(Rein Del Rosario (talk) 23:50, 24 October 2018 (UTC)) Hi Jim! Thank yo very much for reviewing my articles and I apologize if I make it hard on you. But about "my first article" that I keep on submitting and you keep on deleting I tried to make it look unbiased and avoid promotional words. Anyways I guess I have to put it that I'm a paid writer as you suggested to make it work, though it was discourage to do so? Writing it I have an honest intention, this won't harm any organizations or people. I also want to protect the image of EnvironAir Asia. Thanks![reply]

I have edited new one and I hope this more sounds neutral this time. It was little hard for me to write articles as I use a lot of flowering words as a former feature writer. Thanks for all the help Jim. I hope I can adjust to Wikipedia's kind of writing manner and platform. I find it very difficult because of the very high standard you set here, but I do salute you guys on your strict policy in editing and contributing articles in this web kind of encyclopedia. Hi Jim, Ok I'll find more references to support my article but I'm afraid it will came just from the other websites. As the company was included in their list of accredited firm. But saddening the company has not yet been written by the other articles and news. Because the company is a third party sampler of the Department of Environmental and Natural resources in the Philippines from the pubic sector. Hence it's kinda strict for the company and the like to do so much campaigns and so on. Anyways as I said I'll try to find more references as much as I can for this article to be accepted. Thanks!(Rein Del Rosario (talk) 23:35, 28 October 2018 (UTC))[reply]

How can I write the bio page on Draft:Influencer Z so that it is not deleted?

speedy text

Hey Jimfbleak,
can you give me the content of speedy deletion of Open Public Alert to User:Conny/Open Public Alert to do a rework with the inserting user please? Regards, Conny (talk) 15:26, 28 October 2018 (UTC).[reply]

Conny, although we often restore deleted text on request, for legal reasons we don't do so for copyright violations, even on user pages. In any case, the text was entirely copied from here, it's the paragraph following the heading "Open Public Alerts in O3", so it's easy to see what was deleted. User:onomatowoo

HI. My draft "Draft:Eggersmann Küchen" was deleted claiming it was unambiguous advertising. I examined the Wikipedia articles about Bulthaup and Poggenpohl that are also historic and highly reputed German kitchen manufacturers. The Eggersmann article was developed based on the structures of those articles. I attempted to be sensitive to keeping the article factual citing when claims regarding quality or reputation for being exemplary in design. I got a lot of the facts from the website and company representatives so I had no way to cite those. Can you help me understand what about the eggersmann Küchen article is not done as well as the Bulthaup and POggenpohl wiki articles? The intent was to provide information about this historic company as others have for other German kitchen manufacturers. Also, is it possible to restore the article so that i can get a copy of the article? I attempted it using the procedure described, but got an error. Also, as I am a newbie, I thought that the draft would be reviewed and because it was a draft, there could be dialogue about what improvements would make it wiki-worthy. Thanks for your help. Relied on user talk page, largely unsourced promo, likely COI Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:25, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Eggersmann kuchen article deletion

As the company is privately owned, there is no independent verifiable sources to show things such as number of employees. I had an old independent article that said 108 employees and quoted about exports back in 2010. I can replace the current info with the verifiable info. I will remove any info that is not verifiable which will be most of the information about the company history except awards. I know I have a reference for the "oldest family owned kitchen mfr" but must have left it out when I was citing. So the next one will be much shorter to review.

If I cited a company press release, I apologize as I did not intend to do so. Most of the articles written about eggersmann are written by fashion/design reporters about specific residential or multi-residence projects so they are flowery and complementary (promotional sounding), but they are independent

articles so hopefully you can provide additional guidance where needed there as I may have to remove additional information if those references are not acceptable.

Thank you for your examples of promotional language. I will err to being terse along with only info that can be independently cited and will scour for promotional language...I thought I was doing that, but it is a natural style and one that I saw in the Bulthaup and Poggenpohl articles so I did not see what you saw. Again, thank you for taking the time and effort to be detailed.

I also had no idea there were any URLs in the article beyond wikilinks, so I will take a look to see where I made that mistake.

The article was copied from a MS Word document that I had been working on for the past 2-3 months on and off and that I had passed to a US-based and a German-based contact to provide the quantifiable info (6000 kitchens, 110 employees, etc.). The content itself was not copied from copyrighted information. There were several sections that were not completed in my Word doc that I completed in the edit which is why it would be helpful to get the article back. I could even copy it then you can delete it while i work on it as it may be a while before I find the time to make the adjustments and I would not want you to think that I am not intending to take your instruction. I am concerned that you said there are no wikilinks or references. I understand that the references were not adequate to support all the included facts, but I did add wikilinks throughout so perhaps I am missing something on that?

I will replace the image of Wilhelm Eggersmann with photos of today's factory as those are the only ones that I have that are original. I will follow instructions about making my submission as being paid as I am paid for other work I do for eggersmann though not being paid to write this article. I offered to write it after discovering that the historic, influential company, eggersmann, was not represented in a source in which its competitors were.

I want to reiterate that I appreciate your effort to help me create a wiki-worthy article. And, I am happy to copy my article then allow its deletion again since it may be a while before I can get back to this. Onomatowoo (talk) 13:50, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, sorry for the copyright on the article. can i have the squeleton of the article back to change it? because i spent some time doing it with sources and everything and it would be accepted changing on sentence. Thanks

Viking59, we don't have enough articles on female scientists, so it's unfortunate that it was too close a paraphrase of the copyright source. I'll shortly restore the text to User:Viking59/Melina Schuh for improvement Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:09, 29 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yext page deletion

Hello - the Yext page was deleted due to unambiguous advertising or promotion. No one on the marketing team at Yext has been able to edit the Yext page for years and information on the page was out of date meaning that any new updates were not done by the company. How can I reinstate the page and provide the appropriate, most up to date, and fact-based language? Thank you.

Following up with new username: Yext

Hello - I've created a new profile and has disclosed my affiliation with Yext via the recommended template on the previous Yexter16 conversation. Now that this has been disclosed, how can I access the drafted version of the previously deleted page in order to clean it up and bring it up to standards?

For reference, following up based on your recommendation here: "What I'm prepared to do, since the article wasn't the worse I've seen, is to restore the article as cleaned-up draft if requested to do so by an editor who has declared their company employee status as described above. Any subsequent changes (other than trivial typos or the like) should be requested on the article talk page, with independent third-party references."

Please let me know if there are any other steps to take.

G11 deletion of Runza (restaurant)

You deleted the page on the Runza restaurant late last year. I'm not a super Wikipedia expert but this G11 deletion business sounds like it was sort of a unilateral thing (there was no article deletion referendum).

I don't know what the old page looks like, but stumbling around on Google I think I see an old copy. I agree it wasn't the best page, it's got a lot of advertise-y content in it, and definitely needs some love. But I do not think that the Runza restaurant cause is flawed - it definitely belongs on Wikipedia, either as its own page or as part of the Runza page.

Nebraskans view the runza as a Nebraskan local cuisine. The current Runza page has a bit on that, but some quick Googling:

[1] "as Nebraska as Cornhusker football"

[2] "Nebraska’s sandwich is unique among Flavored Nation’s 50 iconic state dishes because it’s the only one named for a restaurant"

[3] "In one of the most Nebraska things that will happen in 2018, Gabrielle Union sat down to do Husker trivia and predict Scott Frost’s upcoming season while chowing down on a Runza."

The University of Nebraska's student union had a Runza restaurant but it was discontinued after the contract expired. There was some public outrage over the closure, it was widely regarded as a mistake to remove such a Nebraskan icon from the state's flagship school.

[4] “It’s painful,” she said. “There’s sort of an emotional attachment that I feel in Nebraska. I just see Runza associated with everything Nebraska, including the university. It’s hurtful to see it going away.”

[5] The local triple-A baseball team did a publicity stunt where they rebranded as the Omaha Runzas for a night

If you read a bit on the history of the runza you'll see that it was derived from an ethnic German/Russian sandwich. The tricky bit is that the runza inventor, Sally Everett, took this existing sandwich and tweaked it into the modern runza as well as came up with the runza name. Her descendents kept running her sandwich business and own the business (the Runza restaurant) and the sandwich trademark to this day. The history of the sandwich and the restaurant are intertwined, if Wikipedia is going to do a good job of covering the entire topic it needs to mention both sides. It's a tricky situation, as you saw with the first attempt at the article it can slide into advertising. But I think with some careful wisdom from a Wikipedia expert there can be a compromise that gets the job done.

So I would appreciate it if you gave me some feedback and direction here. First, do you think there is a case for an independent Runza restaurant article or a subsection of the existing runza page? Second, is it possible for you to restore the text of the old article to a page in my user namespace? The contents aren't copyright infringing and I would like to start from that existing page and edit it into shape.
