Edward Richard Bebbington Hyde (born 12 December 1997)[1] [2] is an English wicketkeeper batsman who has played for Cambridge University Cricket Club, Cambridge MCCU and Cambridgeshire County Cricket Club. He was born in Huntingdon and attended St John's College School in Cambridge, Tonbridge School and Jesus College, Cambridge.

In 2018, he played his first Minor Counties Championship match for Cambridgeshire against Suffolk at Saffron Walden[3][4], having played for Cambridgeshire age-groups from Under-10s to Under-15s and then Under-25s. He also played for Kent age-groups from Under-14s through to Under-17s.

He played for Cambridge in the 2018 Twenty20 match against Oxford University at Fenner's and in the one-day University Match at Lord's[5][6] where he won his Cambridge Blue. He went on to play first-class cricket in The University Match at the University Parks that year[7][8].

He won the National Schools Renny Cup for Rackets at Queen's Club in 2015[9][10]. In 2017, after a spell playing cricket for Wembley Districts in Perth, Western Australia, he played on the US rackets circuit, representing the Racquet Club of Chicago. On return, Edward played Rackets and Real tennis for Queen's Club, winning UK National Under 21 Rackets doubles championships with James Cawston[11]. He was 2018 National Under 21 singles Real tennis champion in 2018[12] and won Cambridge Blues for both sports in 2018[13][14].
