Reversion in TAP Portugal

I don't know what kind of reversion you may have made in TAP Portugal page according to your justification, since TAP Portugal doesn't fly to Tel Aviv, nor any other city in Asia. Nupest 0:10, 30 January 2014 (UTC)

Finding reliable source

Hi jetstremar I am runaparvin you told me if I want to add anything I have to add a reliable source but how can I add a reliable source changing the destinations? Please help me adding a reliable source but I can't understand why not you changing the page of us-bangla airlines.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Runaparvin (talkcontribs)

Aeroflot 593

Hello Jetstreamer: Wow you caught me as Im about to go get some sleep :) so I guess to the point, lol..ok Aeroflot 593, about the Boeing 737 next to it, I'm agreeing with you, not 100 percent but certainly enough to tell you I see your point, and you are probably correct. About listing the Jessica Dubroff article there, I put an explanation as why she-or should I say, it-should be on the "see also" list right next to the link itself. I mean to me they were similar because they were both instances in which children were in the cockpit during a tragic circumstance. Anyways, take care, God bless you!...Antonio AeroCrazyLot Martin (loser's talk page) 13:55, August 30, 2016 (UTC)

Air Namibia accra/Lagos routing

Please note that Air Namibia 'resumes' the Accra route which they've abandoned in 2013. The Lagos-leg, however is new, therefore 'begins'. Please correct this.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Bundubear (talkcontribs) 29 August 2017 (UTC)

Thanks

I thought Aeromexico Connect took over Aeromexico’s main Monterrey-Las Vegas route. My apologies.

Ethiopian at Istanbul

No they will be flying to new aitrport, airlineroute makes sure airport is mentioned for cities with more than one, information is sourced from GDS, in the ref link I had attached you can see a Moscow airport is named and not just Moscow, when they first reported Istanbul route launch in June to start from November the new airport was expected to be open for all, so clearly ET was going to fly there hence just Istanbul instead of Istanbul-Ataturk, same now for March when new airport will be fully functional and open for all from January and Ataturk will close for passenger traffic, also all airlineroute posts for Istanbul launches prior to 29 October do mention airport to be used, be it Ataturk or Gokcen. I know ET web schedule shows Ataturk for March, but its wrong and is misreading IST as Ataturk, as the code belongs to new airport from January. 45.116.232.39 (talk) 16:38, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion will continue at WT:AVIATION.

Hello, my edits are not wrong as i get my research from the ASN website which includes a database of the accidents along with the final reports of the accidents i research. I'll re-edit my edit (if it makes sense ha) and add the links and reasons why i made said edits. Thanks :)

OrbitalEnd48401 (talk) 14:03, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@OrbitalEnd48401: If you base your edits on reading the ASN website without providing a citation that's unsourced editing.--Jetstreamer Talk 14:25, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No it’s not, the final reports are not. I read the final reports plus. The pages cannot be edited as they are main accidents. So don’t give me that.

OrbitalEnd48401 (talk) 16:01, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Plus the fact that I read the investigation sections on the accident son Wikipedia. To say I do insourced research? Rubbish

I don't know about you, but my gut feeling is that OrbitalEnd48401 is not as new as he claims to be. Mjroots (talk) 16:14, 14 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Mjroots: I don't have the evidence to claim that. Experienced or not, they keep making the same edits they were told not to.--Jetstreamer Talk 21:05, 14 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

NPR Newsletter No.16 15 December 2018

Hello Jetstreamer,

Reviewer of the Year

This year's award for the Reviewer of the Year goes to Onel5969. Around on Wikipedia since 2011, their staggering number of 26,554 reviews over the past twelve months makes them, together with an additional total of 275,285 edits, one of Wikipedia's most prolific users.

Thanks are also extended for their work to JTtheOG (15,059 reviews), Boleyn (12,760 reviews), Cwmhiraeth (9,001 reviews), Semmendinger (8,440 reviews), PRehse (8,092 reviews), Arthistorian1977 (5,306 reviews), Abishe (4,153 reviews), Barkeep49 (4,016 reviews), and Elmidae (3,615 reviews).
Cwmhiraeth, Semmendinger, Barkeep49, and Elmidae have been New Page Reviewers for less than a year — Barkeep49 for only seven months, while Boleyn, with an edit count of 250,000 since she joined Wikipedia in 2008, has been a bastion of New Page Patrol for many years.

See also the list of top 100 reviewers.

Less good news, and an appeal for some help

The backlog is now approaching 5,000, and still rising. There are around 640 holders of the NPR flag, most of whom appear to be inactive. The 10% of the reviewers who do 90% of the work could do with some support especially as some of them are now taking a well deserved break.

Really good news - NPR wins the Community Wishlist Survey 2019

At #1 position, the Community Wishlist poll closed on 3 December with a resounding success for NPP, reminding the WMF and the volunteer communities just how critical NPP is to maintaining a clean encyclopedia and the need for improved tools to do it. A big 'thank you' to everyone who supported the NPP proposals. See the results.

Training video

Due to a number of changes having been made to the feed since this three-minute video was created, we have been asked by the WMF for feedback on the video with a view to getting it brought up to date to reflect the new features of the system. Please leave your comments here, particularly mentioning how helpful you find it for new reviewers.

Sourcing?

With all due respect as we did get on the wrong foot in the past, on the Loss of control page, I wasnt sourcing the static ports, i was linking it to pitot static systems so viewers can read up on what they are. Anyways if thats still gonna be an issue for you personally, ill add in a reference from ASN stating that this type of accident (AeroPeru 603) is a loss of control accident not CFIT.

A kitten for you!

You know, I may get a little unhappy with you undoing my edits, but you know at least it give me a chance to explain why i made that edit. But hey! At least you're professional :)

OrbitalEnd48401 (talk) 22:24, 17 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

As a treat i looked at some accidents which you keep an eye on and added more intel that i gathered from ASN!

Disagreements about airport destination tables

Hello Jetstreamer. I noticed you seem to be a regular editor on aviation articles. Lately there have been some disputes reported to admins about airport destination tables. See for example a currently open report at WP:AN3 about Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport: here. I have noticed the name User:Charlesdrakew being cited in some of the complaints but don't have any opinion yet on who is at fault. From a 2017 RfC (in which you participated) it seems to be agreed that airport articles can include destination tables. Are you aware of the current disagreements, and if so do you have an opinion on how to resolve the dispute? In any particular case, admins can always block editor A or editor B, but long term it would be good to get a solution. Thanks for any opinion. EdJohnston (talk) 03:01, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello EdJohnston. WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT allows the inclusion of future services as long as reliable sources are provided. If this is the case I don't see nothing wrong with adding future services. And if someone disagrees with this they should raise the matter to change the consensus.--Jetstreamer Talk 20:00, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
WP:AIRPORT-CONTENT is clearly incompatible with Wikipedia policies such as WP:OR and WP:NOTDIR in that respect and needs to be changed to avoid being misleading.Charles (talk) 20:20, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The way of changing it is not warring over the content.--Jetstreamer Talk 20:43, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Tell that to all the IP sockpuppets.Charles (talk) 22:23, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
User:Charlesdrakew, have you opened a complaint at WP:SPI about the IP socks? If not, beware of casting WP:ASPERSIONS. EdJohnston (talk) 01:38, 19 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
If you look at the edits I was blamed for reverting at 3rr it is obvious that most of them are IP socks. First time IPs do not just appear like that if they are genuine new editors. I am not sure who is behind them as yet, so no I have not bothered with an investigation.Charles (talk) 10:05, 19 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Accepting that you feel there may be competence issues here, it would be nice if you would try and communicate when issues are raised by OE48401. A little patience and working together will remove a lot of stress all round, methinks. Mjroots (talk) 21:01, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jetstreamer. Could you keep an eye on this article? Vyomtripathi (talk · contribs) is re-instating content which I removed from the history which read more like an essay. They have also openly declared an edit war even through socks here.  LeoFrank  Talk 02:00, 24 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

767's operated by spanish airlines

Hi. Sorry for adding information, without indicating the source. The problem, is that the source its myself: I know that Iberia had two 767's, EC-GTI and EC-GSU (some people say they where ex Asiana birds, and later transfered to Kenya Airways. Other people say they where wet leases from Air Europa). And the same with the ones operated by Air Europa (767-300, up to 7 units, not any more flying for Air Europa). Currently, there is an operator called Privilege Style, that operates one 767-300. Regards. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.63.215.89 (talk) 18:48, 26 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Lanzarote Airport

Hi. You deleted my photo of a plane landing at ACE Lanzarote saying something like "this is about the airport not the beach" - of course I know it's about the airport that's why I took a picture (on a mere motorola phone not some pro rubbish) and hey there happens to be a beach in the background I know there is I walked up it to get a shot of the airport - I'm putting that post back in - if the photo is crap I can live with that but arbitrary deletion for rubbish reasons take it to the talk page in future (PS I am a soldier not a photographer so I don't promote any pics I take) XyzSpaniel Talk Page 23:20, 30 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
