Climate emergency is a slogan that describes global warming as an emergency situation, usually with the aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through climate actions.[1]

In June 2019, protesters blocked a street in New York, demanding from the The New York Times to refer to climate change as a climate emergency.[2]

Declarations

In June 2019, at a meeting with oil executives, Pope Francis made a pledge for a climate emergency.[3]
