Common name Löwenbräu

Quote: In centuries past, the name "Löwenbräu" was fairly common and used by many brewers. The Löwenbrauerei Mayen was typical of this custom. In the end, many of the smaller breweries adopted more original names or went out of business entirely.

I doubt it, could we please see a reference? Thanks, Maikel (talk) 12:35, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You doubt it why? There are still several breweries called Löwenbräu, for example Löwenbräu Zürich in Switzerland and Löwenbräu Buttenheim in Franconia. In the past there were surely many more. --92.235.39.242 (talk) 19:37, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Supermarkets?

Coming from one of the many states in the US where supermarkets cannot SELL beer, I cannot see how it was sold in "every" major supermarket of the day!

Oktoberfest

Why would the article show the Schützenzelt and not the brewerie's tent? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.147.231.57 (talk) 19:46, 18 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

"r" in pronunciation?

Why is there an "r" in the German pronunciation followed by "without rhoticity"? Why is it not just /ɜː/, which exists as a phoneme in non-rhotic English accents? — 91.238.123.116 (talk) 12:55, 9 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Löwenbräu brewery in Neu-Ulm

In the early 1970's there was a massive Löwenbräu brewery in Neu-Ulm. If someone could find a reference to it, it would be a good addition to the page.
