RRR is an upcoming 2020 Indian Telugu-language period action film[1] written and directed by S. S. Rajamouli. It stars Ram Charan, N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn.[4][5] It is a fictional story revolving around India's freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem who fought against the British Raj and the Nizam of Hyderabad, respectively. The movie's story is a fictional retelling of their lives during their self-imposed exile.

Production

Principal photography of the film commenced on 19 November 2018 in Hyderabad. The first schedule involved an action sequence shot at a set erected at Aluminium factory, Hyderabad.[7] Ram Charan, N. T. Rama Rao Jr. and S. S. Rajamouli have taken off to Vadodara on 29 March 2019 to continue with the shoot of the film.[8] The film marks the South Indian cinema debut of actors Ajay Devgan and Alia Bhatt.[4]

Marketing and release

The film is scheduled to release on 30 July 2020.[3]
