Subject is a politician and fails WP:NPOL. Subject is a Hillingdon Councillor of a population of HERE-1 - 2018 June 30 - 304,824, who has a record of 2 failed parliamentary elections, and is contesting again for the Conservative seat in for the Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner constituency - see HERE-2. Local coverage from newspaper of the campaign does not apply for politician under WP:BASIC. Candidate needs to be elected in national political position to pass WP:NPOL and not prior. *Keep, He isn't very well known right now but he is an elected member of Hillingdon Council. I can pretty much guarantee you that he will be elected next month, because its an extremely safe Conservative seat. I don't think there's much point in deleting the page, only for it to be recreated on December 13th, which, in the almost certainty that he is elected on December 13th, he will, because all UK Members of Parliament have pages. See the RNP page to see the majorities held by the Conservative party candidate in the seat. If the page is deleted I will of course respect the decision, and will remake the page as soon as possible if and when he is elected on December 12th, as by that point he will definitely have qualified for a page.Comrade TruthTeller (talk) 04:04, 8 November 2019 (UTC) creator of the page[reply]

  • Comment. Comrade TruthTeller As the creator of the article, your guarantee plays not part in the variable in the Wikipedia notability guidelines. Politicians is deemed notable "only after" they are elected and "not" prior. To have a non elected politician in Wikipedia is like having well-known, heavy traffic platform to promote/advertise the political campaign for the candidates which is WP:What Wikipedia is not. Page can be recreated when the ballot is counted and "if" the candidates is elected and not before. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 04:19, 8 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. Comrade TruthTeller I restored your edits above and striked them out for the reason that my message above would not make sense and seemed I was accusing you of something, "your guarantee......" , which came out of nowhere. It is also a norm to strike thought our vote if we change our mind after some new evident/understanding. Thank you for your understanding. Thank you. • Delete, without prejudice against recreation after election day if he wins. People don't get articles just for being candidates in future elections they have not yet won — the notability test for politicians is holding a notable political office, not just running for one. Predictions about his likelihood of winning don't count for anything either: in accordance with WP:CRYSTAL, we are not in the business of publishing advance electoral projections. But there's no other claim of preexisting notability for other reasons here, and serving on a local borough council is not an "inherently" notable office that gets a person into Wikipedia either. Obviously this will be recreated in due time if he wins, although even then the format and sourcing will have to be different than this, but simply being a candidate is not already enough as of today. • Delete candidates are not noteworthy. MilborneOne (talk) 20:41, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete for now. While I see no sign of bias by the article's creator, the fact is at the moment the subject does not seem to meet notability standards. Being a current parliamentary candidate, even for a seat the candidate is favoured to win, is not enough. If he is elected, then it would of course be entirely appropriate to recreate the article and this is an approach I would favour in any similar cases to avoid any suggestion of bias.
