Records update + one missing record

Since Boy with Luv records have been daggered, shall we do the same with Map of the Soul: Persona one per consistency, since now the best-selling album in SK is Map of the Soul: 7? Also, I think we should add sources to all the daggered records holders supporting their surpass, since the GDW website takes some time to update (it's still stating Map of the Soul: Persona is the best-selling album in SK after 4 months).

Secondly, one record is missing from the table: First K-pop group to reach the Top 10 on the US singles chart (screenshot here, there's not a link). It's listed on the GWR website, but can only be viewed by registered users through the Record Application Search. --Chiyako92 17:25, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Chiyako92: imo even if MOTS7 has surpassed Persona for the best selling record it still needs official Guinness confirmation of that. The section is for official GWR, not records recognized by everyone else that meet the criteria of a GWR but have not actually been certified as such. I think it's better to wait until GWR update and then update the section, but that's just me.
For the missing record, can we add it in and just include the parameter that allows you to state that viewing access of a particular page is subscription or paywall restricted or whatever the appropriate term is? I've seen it before on articles that use a particular billboard chart iirc that's hidden due to rules abt how it can be accessed. Also, does 'Inactive Record' as seen in the screenshot refer to the fact that it can't be viewed like everything else? -- Carlobunnie (talk) 18:17, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Carlobunnie: Yes, for the missing record we can use the search results page url and the |url-access=registration parameter.
Inactive Record means that users can't apply for the record holder position. All BTS records are listed as inactive, while others such as "Most laptops toppled in a domino fashion" have a green "Apply now" button, and when you click on it you get a message ("Please note: Your application may be referred to our Consultancy team, which manages our paid for services. Referrals are normally made based on the complexity of the record you have chosen or the potential for you to require usage of the Guinness World Records’ brand name and assets. If your application is referred in this way, our consultancy team will contact you directly to find out more about your attempt.") and you are required to fill in a form about how your broke the record. --Chiyako92 08:00, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Chiyako92: thanks for the explanation. You can add the missing record to the table whenever you're ready :) -- Carlobunnie (talk) 16:12, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Chiyako92: @Carlobunnie: This article was published today [1] on the official Guinness World Records site, which talks about two new records, first for "the best selling album in South Korea for MAP OF THE SOUL:7" which was previously held by Map of the soul: Persona & if you read furthur another record (in year 2019) for "most used hashtag in 24 hours". CookyMooky (talk) 02:00, 6 August 2020
@CookyMooky: that most used hashtag is not a BTS record. Our fandom was just one of the fandoms that helped contribute to it as the article specified. I've only been awake about 50 mins or so now but I saw the GWR twt about MOTS7. You can add it yourself if you want or if you aren't sure, you can wait for one of us to do it. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 15:00, 6 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Carlobunnie: BTS just made it to the the list of Billboard’s 2019 Money Makers list (at 22nd rank) I was wondering if this is important enough to be mentioned in listicles section. The link of the Billboard article for the same [2] here. CookyMooky (talk) 07:15, 18 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@CookyMooky: honestly, I don't think so, but it could maybe be added to the main BTS article. I'm not super knowledgeable on this ranking specifically but I don't think it's as important as the Forbes one. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 21:03, 17 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Carlobunnie: BTS broke the record of highest premiere on Youtube with their latest single dynamite. Link from Variety [3] CookyMooky (talk) 08:51, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@CookyMooky: it's too early to update yet. Those are just live count numbers. I was on the stream for the premiere so I know they broke it but only when YouTube or another source gives official confirmation then we'll update it. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 14:01, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Carlobunnie: I too waited for some credible sources to give official confirmation but than I saw Variety & Forbes articles about the same so I thought of notifying you! Sorry for being a bit hasty. CookyMooky (talk) 15:57, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@CookyMooky: it's okay. Just remember to carefully read the articles first if you can so it helps you know for sure whether it's time to add a record or not yet. The pieces will usually mention whether what they're discussing is official or not. The Variety article literally said "although the official count has yet to come in from the internet video platform..." and Forbes wrote something similar too, so it's always easy to know if they're just pre-empting the inevitable or quoting confirmed stats. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 16:22, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Carlobunnie: Hi Bighit (BTS Label) and Youtube both just confirmed & posted this NAVER article [4] on their page, about BTS breaking the record of most views in 24 hours & highest Youtube premier record. Youtube too posted this [5] on their official blog site about biggest Youtube premier record. If these articles aren't notable enough, than please let me know, I will try to look for more regarding the same. Thanks! CookyMooky (talk) 10:35, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@CookyMooky: I already added the concurrent viewers record to the dynamite article and Ashley added the mv view record to it after. When Guinness certifies them as new world records then they'll be added to the table. For now they're only YouTube records and this article is not the place for that. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 16:34, 23 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Carlobunnie: Okay! Got it! Thanks! CookyMooky (talk) 3:40, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
@Carlobunnie: An article was posted today on the Guinness World record official site [6] confirming that BTS Dynamite MV has broken the record to subsequently become the "most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours" as well as the "most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours" and the "most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group" (They also mentioned that all of these records were previously held by the group Blackpink) CookyMooky (talk) 4:50, 2 September 2020 (UTC)
@Carlobunnie: I just noticed than there is one nomination missing for the upcoming 2020 MTV Video music awards. Along with Best k-pop, Best pop & Best Choreography categories, BTS is also nominated for the "Best Group" category. Actually this category was added later on, along with the "Best Summer Song" category. Link of official VMAs nomination list [7] here. CookyMooky (talk) 6:30, 29 August 2020 (UTC)

@Carlobunnie: A new Guinness World record was achieved by BTS "Most daesangs (grand prize) awards won at the Mnet Asian Music Awards". Link from official Guinness world records site [8] here. CookyMooky (talk) 9:40, 8 October 2020 (UTC)

@CookyMooky: I added it :) Was busy on another article hence why I didn't reply earlier. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 13:46, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Carlobunnie: I understand :) Thanks again! CookyMooky (talk) 11:30, 9 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Asia Game Changer Award

Hey @Carlobunnie:, I was looking at the Asia Game Changer Award by Asia Society which was recently added in the Awards section. I was reading its past honorees and Asia Society's history and was wondering if it should be placed in the State Honors section. Facts Spiller (talk) 07:21, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I think it should, like the James A. Van Fleet Award by the Korea Society. --Chiyako92 09:54, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I disagree but I moved it. Neither the VFA nor the GCA are state honours because they are not awarded by the govt (but there really was no other place to put the VFA at the time so I put it there). The table either needs renaming (except I'm unsure what to rename it to wo sounding repetitive since the section title already uses the word 'Accolades'), or these awards would have to go in a separate mini table, which might be too much I think. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 15:58, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmmm. The Cultural Merit is an honor given by the Govt while the VFA and GCA are honors given by Organizations. Maybe we can categorize them like Govt based Honor and Organization based Honor. Or rename the heading "State honors" to simply "Honors". Facts Spiller (talk) 16:48, 16 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I also don't like having OCM, VFA and GCA in the same table. I think I like the State honors/Organization based honors categorization better, but I'm not so sure how to handle it either. --Chiyako92 13:05, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

UK Music Video Awards

I don't know how much reputable this award show is but The Official UK Charts reported about it.

Nominations:
Best Pop Video – International (BTS – On) Facts Spiller (talk) 06:30, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Facts Spiller: I saw when they announced it on twitter a few days ago but I'd never heard of it before that. It's got a Wikipedia page but that is 99% referenced solely on primary sources. Will have to do a bit of googling to determine notability. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 06:38, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Carlobunnie: I googled a bit and found a few old UK based articles e.g. NME, BBC, Telegraph, The Guardian, Music Week. So if you need receipts, check the UK based articles. Facts Spiller (talk) 09:36, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

MTV EMA 2020 concert nom title

Ashleyyoursmile Variety originally titled the concert as "Map Of The Soul Concert Live Stream" so that's what I put in the table (if you check the archived url in the ref you'll see it). They clearly updated their article since it was first posted this morning so I'll just update the archive+adjust the name. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 21:16, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Carlobunnie, that's alright then. I hadn't notice the previous version so I wasn't aware of the same. Also about the UK Music Video Awards, I checked List of awards and nominations received by Taylor Swift and List of awards and nominations received by Dua Lipa, which are both FL, and the noms and wins have been updated on those. So maybe the same could be done here? --Ashleyyoursmile! 04:42, 7 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Ashleyyoursmile: sure. I didn't get the time to look up those awards further as I was working on another article. I can add them now since your seeing them on other FL is good enough confirmation for me. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 04:47, 7 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Carlobunnie, thanks for that. :) --Ashleyyoursmile! 05:13, 7 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Carlobunnie, I stumbled upon this today- Most "daesang" ("grand prize") awards won at the Mnet Asian Music Awards. I think they updated this GWR recently. Can you have a look at it? --Ashleyyoursmile! 13:13, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Ashleyyoursmile: I saw. It's a legit record, one exo previously held actually. Was gonna update it later because I'm working on the mtv articles rn, but since CookyMooky tagged me abt it earlier and now you, I'll just do it now. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 13:32, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Carlobunnie, thanks again, very much! :) --Ashleyyoursmile! 15:19, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wall Street Journal Magazine Innovator Awards 2020 - Music Innovator of the Year

@Carlobunnie: BTS was honored with the Wall Street Journal Magazine's 2020 Music Innovator of the Year Award. [9] This was their 10th installment in running. WSJ Magazine's annual Innovator Awards honors titans in the fields of tech, fashion, film, art, media, design, activism, and other disciplines. [10] It got quite good coverage on other media outlets too. [11] [12] [13] etc. I was wondering if this can be added to this page. Thanks. CookyMooky (talk) 1:35, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
