The fall season, named "NISA Showcase", features 8 teams, with the East and West champions earning berths into the 2020 playoffs.[2] More teams are expected to join in time for the 2020 Spring season, with Chattanooga FC, Detroit City FC, Michigan Stars FC, and teams in Connecticut and Providence, already announced on the league website.[3]
