  • curprev 18:5118:51, 9 December 2023Aspaa talk contribs 194,459 bytes +20 Acquired immunity is immunity developed over lifetime; unfortunately there isn't immunity to protect against all SARS-CoV-2 in future as new variants are regularly caught until a variant-proof vaccine can be developed. I had considered amending in line with the article on flu vaccines; unfortunately SARS-CoV-2 vaccine wanes and provides limited protection against infection - the protection holds against hospitalisation and death as indicated by Prof Sir Chris Whitty to the UK Covid inquiry.
