Keramikou 28, also known as Communitism building[1], was a social art center in Athens, Greece closely resembled with Kunsthaus Tacheles in Berlin, Germany. It was housed in a neoclassical structure located at the Greek capital in the Metaxourgeio[2] district on Keramikou 28 Street. It functioned as a self-managed social center by a community of national and international artists who relocated to Athens during Documenta 14[3].
The building was transformed into an arts center[4] and used for exhibitions, performances, and initiative projects. The building served as a venue[5][6] for to the Athenian subculture art scene both for emerging and established artists to exhibit their work and engage in creative pursuits outside traditional galleries and museums.
