Jidon Armani Adams, better known online as JiDion, is an American Christian YouTuber and online streamer. He is known for his former comedic vlogging content and prank videos.

In October 2023, he announced a departure from his primary YouTube channel, JiDion, in favor of a new channel focused on Christian content.[4] His original account is no longer active and he now uploads on an alternate channel named GiDeon, a play on his first name and a reference to the biblical character of the same name.

Youtube

Adams started his YouTube channel in 2019 with a video of him attempting to resell various items at his high school.[5]

In December 2021, Adams attempted to get an autograph from the real DeMarcus Cousins during a game in Houston, which prompted a Toyota Center security guard to try and halt the interaction. Cousins told the security guard that he was "taking [his] job too serious" and went on to sign Adams's jersey.[6] In March 2022, he crashed a Harvard University life sciences lecture for a comedy video.[7][8] He also pretended to get a haircut during a Houston Rockets game.

In October 2023, Adams announced that he will essentially stop his usual content to focus on God. In a video on his main channel, Adams announced that going forward he will upload Christian content that "points people in the right direction" on a new channel named GiDeon. In doing so, he will effectively be decommissioning his old YouTube channel that has garnered over 8.5 million subscribers at the moment. In a video titled "GoodBye JiDion, Say Hello to...", there Adams revealed that he does not want to keep doing what he has been doing in life, and that he is going to devote himself to spreading the word of God.[9] The following month, Adams took down all of his prank and non-Christian content from his main and second channels and followed this up with the video, "Why I Deleted All My Videos...". Adams stated that in order to truly give his life over to God, he had to remove all of the wickedness he brought into the world.[10]

Twitch

In January 2022, Adams was permanently banned from Twitch for "extreme harassment". The harassment consisted of a Twitch "raid", where Adams instructed his viewers to comment something in the chat feature of another streamer's content. In Adams' case, he had his fanbase spam "L + ratio" in the chat of Twitch streamer Pokimane.[11]

Rumble

In April 2023 Adams announced a partnership with the alt-tech platform Rumble, where he would exclusively livestream.[12] His first stream was on April 8, 2023, where he recorded himself at UFC 287 with Adin Ross, Sneako, and others. He also met figures such as Mike Tyson and Donald Trump.

Controversies

In October 2021, Adams uploaded a video where he was kicked out of a Best Buy by an employee, due to Adams entering the store shirtless. Later the same day, he brought a large group of other shirtless men to the Best Buy in order to harass the employee who had kicked him out.[13]

In January 2022, he was accused of harassment by Twitch streamer Pokimane over misogynistic remarks about her appearance and relationship status.[14][15]

In July 2022, Adams was accused by fellow YouTuber TommyInnit of harassing the fans lining up for his meet-and-greet at TwitchCon, with Adams subsequently uploading a video of the incident.[16] That same month, he was banned from Wimbledon for his disruptive antics (which included repeatedly sounding an airhorn) during the quarterfinal match between Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic.[17]

In September 2022, he was removed from the 2022 US Open men's finals after getting a haircut during the match.[17][18][19][20]

In July 2023, Adams received a lifetime ban from all NBA and WNBA events for a stunt he pulled at a WNBA game.[21]
