Marymount is a new SMC carved out as a new electoral boundary and used to be part of the [[Bishan–Toa Payoh Group Representation Constituency]] (GRC).
PAP sent a new candidate, former brigadier-general, [[Gan Siow Huang]] while the [[Progress Singapore Party]] (PSP) sent a candidate, a former psychologist [[Ang Yong Guan]] to contest. Gan defeated Ang with a vote count of 55.04% vs 44.96% in the [[2020 Singapore general election]] which made her the MP of the new constituency.

The Marymount Single Member Constituency is a single member constituency (SMC) located in the central area of Singapore formed in 2020. The current Member of Parliament (MP) is Gan Siow Huang of the People's Action Party (PAP).[1]
