The name's "Ballin", not "Ballen"...

There seems to be some minor redundancy in this article, Albert kills himself twice in the last couple of paragraphs. I have marked it to come back and edit when I have a half hour or so, least I can do for a historic namesake wee paddy 20:49, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Ballin family

Following the death of Albert Ballin did his family continue to manage any part of the company? According to one report Albert had a direct line to the Kaiser, what was the significance of this? What became of the Ballin family? When did he first meet the Kaiser? Were any of the Ballin family included in the Royal Court? One report suggests that the Empress was hostile to Albert, was this for any particular reason? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Celcom (talkcontribs) 14:13, 16 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Citations needed

Most of the assertions here are probably sourced in the two biographies. Simply listing the biographies does not provide sufficient verifiability. Each fact or group of related facts need to be backed up with a particular source with page numbers. The reader should not be required to read both biographies to verify the facts here. Birthplace

Albert Ballin's father was from what is now Denmark but had moved to Altona which while now part of Hamburg was then part of Gluckstadt then part of the Kingdom of Denmark. I have been told Albert Ballin by a former Hamburg Amerika was born in Altona in 1857 and Gluckstadt was acquired Prussia in 1864.RichardBond (talk) 03:13, 12 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
