I have inserted a couple of sentences about his promotion and early death, taken from the Battle of Baltimore, as they surely need to be recorded here. But there was no reference there, and thus none here. I hope some other editor can supply a ref, for both articles. A few days ago, I added a source based on an audiobook published in 2023, after googling for its ISBN and learning that the publisher was a subsidiary or affiliate of a larger publisher. Nearby libraries only have hard copies of a juvenile book with a similar title but different author. Yesterday, a reference librarian was unable to locate a hard copy in northern Virginia, while I confirmed that this man was at least mentioned in vol. 2 of Tyler's now non-copywrited encyclopedia. According to worldcat, the nearest hard copy is in West Virginia, although a hoopla ebook is shown on two Maryland library catalogs (but I don't qualify for their library cards, so can't check whether there are footnotes, etc). Thus, I haven't fixed the page number issue, and don't know when I will be able to. Perhaps in a month or two I'll be able to visit one of the West Virginia libraries or the Fort McHenry gift shop....Jweaver28 (talk) 19:13, 6 February 2024 (UTC)

Armistead's fate

I have inserted a couple of sentences about his promotion and early death, taken from the Battle of Baltimore, as they surely need to be recorded here. But there was no reference there, and thus none here. I hope some other editor can supply a ref, for both articles. Wwheaton (talk) 19:22, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
