US Rating Warning

The original airing of Goosebumps featured the warning "Goosebumps is rated GB-7, because it may be too Spooky for children under 7." A couple years into the show the United States introduced the TV Parental Guidelines system, and Goosebumps replaced the GB-7 with TV-Y7. I think this is worth mentioning if only because it made Goosebumps a pioneering program of sorts.

The section is written in the present tense "When Goosebumps airs on Fox Kids". The whole thing should be in past tense, unless the airings on Cartoon Network maintain the ratings warning. Promontoriumispromontorium (talk) 06:29, 20 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

All you little tweens need to stop putting false information here! And it's not even thoroughly researched...whoever made up the three 'upcoming' DVDs that I just deleted (The Haunted Mask, Werewolf Skin, The Ghost Next Door) forgot that 'The Ghost Next Door' has already been released on DVD. American or Canadian?

The IMDb says Goosebumps was a Canadian show with FOX Kids airing it for American viewers. Is this true?Sarcha 45 05:26, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia

I find it highly unlikely that anyone ever thought that James Wong used "Say Cheese and Die" as inspiration for Final Destination. The story was used before Goosebumps, and much better, in The Twilight Zone and then later in Are You Afraid of the Dark?--AtomicAge 06:54, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Twilight Epsiode A most unusual Camera
Epsiode "One Day at Horror Land" {pt 1} has a pun-in which the family is warned by a severed talking human head to beware of a curve on a ride-which is quite "sharp"! In part 2 is a TV Injoke-the Norris family is seen in their car teetering on the edge of a cliff; before the TV monsters turn off their TV set, the GAme show host is shown to have "rigged" the car to not yet fall off the cliff-until presumedly the Show ratings are high enough!! {This is an old Injoke of TV writers of "Killing off TV Charachters for {high viewer} ratings" {ie which is almost the fate of James Kirk in Bread and Circus!}

CBBC Dates
