– The wife of the prime minister is WP:COMMONNAME by her second given name, see [1][2][3]. Also requesting WP:BOLD move as WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, the wife of a head of government of 50 million people has more lasting influence than a participant in a minor sport. Even searching for news of "begona gomez judo" throws up results like this where a judo competition is the main story but the "Begona Gomez" is the prime minister's wife, linked in most read. Support - Per WP:COMMONNAME, it is clear that the common name of the PM's spouse is Begoña Gómez without the Maria section. Also agree that she is the primary topic rather than the judoka. ⁂CountHacker (talk) 20:00, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: Its funny that none of you gentlemen asked me -:), why I named the article the way I did. Obviously I had to think about that, because Begoña Gómez hilariously had already been taken for the judoka and I didnt know how to do a redirect or rename before writing this article.- I actually asked someone (see edit summary) who slammed an orphan tag on the page within the first 30 min of its birth - But let s look at how the Spanish WP deals with this- that´s what I did-: Begoña Gómez Martín is the judoka and Begoña Gómez Fernández is the page for Pedro Sanchez wife. I followed that pattern, inconsequentially you might say, because I omitted Fernandez. Different sources definitely do use different names for her BTW, so I disagree with ⁂CountHacker, that it was totally clear what her common name is. --Wuerzele (talk) 00:08, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
